I cannot pick up a heavy air conditioner and install it.

Plus I have gorgeous nails, so can't risk breaking one.

No wuss here!

Hey now! Breaking a nail under hard labor conditions is a hard limit. If they are going to get broken it should be under the (consensual) duress of being plundered.

Jus sayin

Exactly! YOU get it.

That is the ONLY acceptable situation for nail breakage.

Why more people don't get that is beyond me.

How do you males feel about it if you see a female enter and used your bathroom meant for males?

I had stopped at one of the rest areas along the Oklahoma turnpike and went into the restroom to answer a call of nature. There were about 3 or 4 men in there, and while I was in there, a woman came out from one of the stalls and said "Oh hi guys, I didn't know this was the men's room. There was nobody in here when I came in." As she walked out, I could hear say in a somewhat embarrassed voice, "It was the wrong room." No one got upset or anything; a few of the men in there chuckled about it. It seemed like it was an honest mistake.

What wussy woman cant install her own air conditioner?

Men's job! If he gets a blow job every morning, his installing air-con and doing all the manly stuffs. And his gonna help me tell someone to calm down if they are being abusive towards me, even though I can handle it, but I want to feel taken care of. That's what I loved about my x-dom, he cannot stand anybody upsetting me or raising their voice at me, except himself lol. But he was really really protective. And it's not just to me, when he goes out with me and my girlfriends, his protective of them too, his just that type of man who treats a woman like a woman. May piss off women who value their independence, but I enjoy being taken care of. It doesn't mean I can't survive on my own or do things myself, but that's what relationships are for, to take care of each other, and men can take care of you in ways where he makes you feel like a woman. I like men who treats me like glass that can easily break.

As the token feminist- I can do all the manly stuffs just fine.
however, if someone is better than me at installing an air conditioner by all means have it. Or if they just prefer to be the one installing it, I'm not gonna fight them on it.

Also in typing this I just realized...I think in relationships I have with girls, I might be the butch one...(I have to go self actualize over this now...)

Yea, one of my x-bosses was an Australian lady and she always scolds me, because every little thing, I go find a man to do for me. Like basically anything that I deem as "men's job". And she'll always say that a man can't always be around for me to do all these things!! Well, I don't need to do it myself unless it comes to the point where no men is available, so why do it myself? And if no boyfriends, no male colleagues, I still got 2 brothers who will do anything for me. And they are younger, so I will die first.

I was always taught by both parents how to do things on my own.
I am also really independent, and always wanted to be. I ride and care for horses, so I learned how to do a lot "manly stuff" simply because you end up having to if you own a horse and largely care for it yourself.
I can't change my own oil but I can check it, I have never had to change a flat alone, but probably could of I had to. I've built way way more stuff with my dad than my brother has, in fact we are redoing our restaurant and we are going to make all tables for it together. My boyfriend whines his face off about having to put together furniture and I find it kinda fun. I've just always been interested in these things, and I like a guy who either appreciates my interest in them, or allows to me learn along side them I've never been able to be with someone who was stuck in traditional gender roles, because I simply was raised to be way more able to do these things by myself. And I enjoy doing them by myself.

Eta- also in being around horses my whole life, I gave up on the mani/pedis and keep my nails short for working in the restaurant. So I've never gotten the "afraid to break a nail thing"

One with arthritis who can't carry that kind of weight in her hands.

I've pretty much never used the men's room except for the judging horse barn at State Fair during 4H. There are damn few boys who are horse crazy, showing in 4H. And not too many kids with an urge to get their judge card.

So with an almost all female, mothers and girl competitors, the wait time for the ladies room gets long. As there was absolutely nobody all day in the men's room, we co-opted it. If somebody's little brother needed it however, we cleared out.

I ran a horse livery yard and so had to be able to drive a tractor, harrow a field, maintain fencing and fix a leaky roof as well as regularly carrying and stacking hay and straw bales.

I love manual hard work and so four years ago I jumped at the opportunity to help build a floating three story building inside a listed historical building. Little did I know then that I would be taught how to maintain and regularly use angle grinders, hammer drills, chop saws, brick saws and industrial nail guns. I was one of the few who saw the job through from start to finish.

I can be a girly girl sometimes but if a job needs doing I'm happy to give it a go.

I think the only issue is urinals and guys peeing in front of each other. I wouldn't want to go into a men's room, but I don't have a problem with a guy going into the ladies room....as long as he isn't in there to sexually assault someone. I don't understand why they don't just get rid of urinals and make all bathrooms unisex with toilets in stalls. It really would solve a lot of problems with crowds and waiting.

Although it would help if more guys learned to aim before this kind of change is made....

Ah... that explains the bathroom trap at your house. I think you are a dangerous predator cleverly disguised as a meek house pet.

Jus sayin

UGHH...my only wish is that the seat gets put down after. I will more than happily clean up after some errant peeing in exchange for not having to feel the cold porcelain against my ass when I try to pee in the middle of the night....

smiles- your thread, and now this one, have made me realize that boyfriend and I have always just been and "open door bathroom couple" and its really weird to realize that we never had a convo about it- we just do it. I mean we don't hang out in there with each other- but since we moved in together I don't think I've ever closed the bathroom door for anything...and now I'm like WE ARE WEIRDOS!

Even when I was married, I never let any man in the bathroom even if I was just peeing.

I like some mystery, damn it! ;)
