President Obama, I apologize for all the incorrect things I stated regarding your handling of the Benghazi situation.

[:D]
Is this like you posting all you knew about the new "Holders" position woman....yep I forgot her name...:)

A two-year investigation by the Republican-controlled House Intelligence Committee has found that the CIA and the military acted properly in responding to the 2012 attack on a U.S. diplomatic compound in Benghazi, Libya, and asserted no wrongdoing by Obama administration appointees.
Debunking a series of persistent allegations hinting at dark conspiracies, the investigation of the politically charged incident determined that there was no intelligence failure, no delay in sending a CIA rescue team, no missed opportunity for a military rescue, and no evidence the CIA was covertly shipping arms from Libya to Syria.

Shocking how that didn't get wall to wall coverage on FNC when the report was issued yesterday.

New Headline: DomKen admits he watches FoxNews wall to wall.

ETA: I'm glad they didn't find any proof of wrongdoing during the attack. Now, how about we look at the Administrations lying about who and why?

I never watch FNC but I do have the ability to check sources that monitor the scum and their was no coverage of this story at all.

Not at all. I admit I was wrong about Benghazi. I never said anything about the possible AG replacement, because the only thing I knew about her (or at least assumed about her) was that she was Obama's nominee for the position (I assumed DK (it was him, right?) posted the correct name in the OP, which goes to show you how much I was paying attention to it; I admit I still don't know anything about her... lol).

I'm owning my incorrectness.

Shocking how you didn't quite convey the content of the story...

The report did find, however, that the State Department facility where Stevens and Smith were killed was not well-protected... that State Department security agents knew they could not defend it from a well-armed attack... that requests for security improvements were not acted upon in Washington.

Thanks for playing.

K.

Was any of that the actual focus of the investigation ?
No,the focus of the investigation was the supposed Obama administration inspired conspiracy to lie and deceive the American public so as to gain a political advantage during the 2014 Presidential election.
Failing that ,goal #2 was the tarring of then Secretary of State Hillary Clinton so as to damage her Presidential(2016) aspirations...again nothing substantial was found.
But have no fear Boehner has put together another senate inquiry(with a budget of 3.3 million tax payer dollars) whose main(unstated) goal will be political muckraking as 2016 ramps up and Hillary Rodham Clinton assumes the mantle of DEmocratic nominee for President.
Thanks for playing .....

their was no coverage of this story at all.

There should have been. Serious accusations had been made, and the findings of the investigation deserved prominent coverage.

In other news, me agreeing with you is proof that the world is coming to an end. [:D]

I'm not following this thread at all but it is novel and refreshing to see someone admitting that they may have posted in error.

I can only hope that others will follow DS's lead and find the courage and integrity to admit their own errors. We're all human and none of us is error free.

Good on you DS! You have raised the bar!

I would suppose they are distraught that in the lowest turnout since WW2 they barely won their heavily gerrymandered districts.

It doesnt bode well for them.

You're really celebrating these election results? Smart Republicans are terrified by them.

sloguy02246 -> RE: Republicans quietly admit Bemghazi was not a conspiracy! (11/24/2014 11:55:48 AM)

The two most telling items in the blog:

Republicans in 2014 were the most popular girl at a party no one attended. Voter turnout was awful.

---------------------------------

Republican support grew deeper in 2014, not broader.
For example, new Texas Governor Greg Abbott won a whopping victory in the Republic of Baptistan. That’s great, but that’s a race no one ever thought would be competitive and hardly anyone showed up to vote in. Texas not only had the lowest voter turnout in the country (less than 30%), a position it has consistently held across decades, but that electorate is more militantly out of step with every national trend then any other major Republican bloc. Texas now holds a tenth of the GOP majority in the House.

Keep an eye on oil prices. Texas, which is at the core of GOP dysfunction, is a petro-state with an economy roughly as diverse and modern as Nigeria, Iran or Venezuela. It was been relatively untouched by the economic collapse because it is relatively dislocated from the US economy in general. Watch what happens if the decline in oil prices lasts more than a year.
