The way I see it, slaves have the choice to leave and choose not to take it. In the example your friend gave, she had the option to tell this man "fuck off" and leave him, but decided to stay true to her view of a slave and go with him. This isn't inherently wrong. She may be happier in the end. But to say she is a slave with no choice? Bullshit. The same goes for your selling/loaning out scenario. Assuming the slave knows what she signed up for and Master finds someone knew for her, she has the option to go with it or walk away. The Master can scream all he wants about slave contracts and true submission should he find fault in her, but ultimately (barring criminal acts) nobody is forcing the slave to go except the slave. Those contracts won't hold up in a court. That said, I'm not of a mindset to accept long term TPE and go for bedroom-only power exchange. I don't understand the lifestyle of a submissive or slave, because it's not in my nature. (I'll add that not understanding a dynamic and not approving of it are two entirely different things, and I say this with no judgment.) My understanding is that it can be liberating to give yourself to someone who looks out for your best interests, but I could personally never do that. So I'll never be in this situation.
