Obamacare simply accelerated the shifting, it has been underway for quite some time.

But that is way off topic, and useless as are most of your posts, here we are speaking of English (well the entire UK) politics. And they could give a rats ass about our insurance, it ain't something they will be voting on here.

Ron, there is another option that I forgot to mention.

If there is a Hung Parliament the sitting Prime Minister gets a chance to form a coalition. If he is unable to find willing partners, the party with the most seats gets to govern. In effect it means the new PM would need to cut deals on each and every vote, just to continue business. This was the case in 1974 when Heath lost out to Wilson. Wilson was in effect forced to call a new election that same year, as the votes were almost a stalement.

Roughly 15% of Americans still lack health insurance, or 45M Americans, aka, "10's of millions."

And, you still don't get it. Less expensive health care lowers the cost of insurance, too. That helps everyone. Fewer people won't be able to afford care and/or insurance.

The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act does not live up to it's title (as is usual in DC from both parties). It's not going to make Care Affordable. It's not even set up to do that. It shifts costs to make insurance more affordable for some, while make it more expensive for others. Overall, it's not more affordable at all.
