ORIGINAL: DesideriScuri That's the whole point, DTP. The "truly needy" should get our support. Obviously, I agree with that. It's those that aren't truly needy that are siphoning off funds for the truly needy that aren't caring for everyone. They are out for themselves, fuck those who truly need the help. You are proving out that you don't understand much about me or conservatives. I understand perfectly that people like you are prepared to let 10's of millions of people go without adequate health care because some people will play the system for their own benefit. Tough shit, no one said life was fair and until we can accurately sort out the bullshitters from the " truly needy" I will happily pay for everyone as will pretty much every western society except yours Roughly 15% of Americans still lack health insurance, or 45M Americans, aka, "10's of millions." And, you still don't get it. Less expensive health care lowers the cost of insurance, too. That helps everyone. Fewer people won't be able to afford care and/or insurance. The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act does not live up to it's title (as is usual in DC from both parties). It's not going to make Care Affordable. It's not even set up to do that. It shifts costs to make insurance more affordable for some, while make it more expensive for others. Overall, it's not more affordable at all.
