The NHS is a fucking paragon compared to your broken system.

Fucking paragon... [sm=rofl.gif]

There are hundreds of stories like this one

quote:

The grim analysis is backed by some of the country's top health experts. Writing in this newspaper, professor Chris Ham, chief executive of the health thinktank, the King's Fund, and a former Downing Street adviser, raises the spectre of another major NHS disaster on the scale of the Mid Staffordshire scandal if more money is not found to relieve the pressures on services.

He says the danger is that "the quality of patient care will be compromised by not having enough doctors and nurses on the wards and in surgeries and clinics. The well-publicised failures of care at Mid Staffordshire NHS Foundation were caused by precisely this kind of cost cutting, with tragic consequences for the families concerned."

Cameron has previously been advised by the former defence secretary Liam Fox and other senior colleagues to commit to removing the ringfencing of the NHS budget after 2015, leaving it open to cuts in the next parliament. Many Tory MPs believe that, at 10% of GDP, spending on the NHS has reached its limit.

Keep feeding all of the fat assed sassy good-for-nothing bureaucrats billions and billions more every year or you're all gonna die

Good luck with that fucking "paragon"

Babble babble babble. I wonder how many scare stories can be fished out for your health system?

By every objective measure the US health system delivers the same (or slightly worse) outcomes for patients, but for TWICE the cost.

Since you're such a babbling fuckwit, what that means is that you suckers pay more for the same thing.

<chortle>

Well, it's hardly Thursday, innit? Not even in your socialist country.

And your system of paying insurance company CEO's salaries in double-figure millions isn't doing exactly that??

And, if you had even bothered to check the info instead of just spouting media hype, Mid Staffordshire Hospital is a Foundation Trust hospital.
That means it is organized, overseen, and run by private trust companies with budgets and profits accounting.
That's not how a lot of 'normal' NHS hospitals run.

So.... by following the US model of corporate run healthcare, it cut staff to keep profits and people DIED as a result.
And that is why we don't want privately run healthcare a-la US style.
It puts profit before people and it stinks to the core!!

You know what these CEOs are paid so well to do? Keep costs down, and hone the company's competitive edge. If there is honest capitalist competition (which is severely lacking here now, due to big government interference) so much better for the consumer

Politicians and bureaucrats on the other hand, under your system, spend "bottomless pockets" of taxpayer money to gain power and wealth. The more bloated the system becomes, the better for them

Just throw more money at it, right? Hire more fat assed bureaucrats who specialize in cost cutting, that sort of thing. Do another study... Always the answer.

Part of our problem over here is that we have big government / insurance cronies writing the health care industry and insurance industry rules, and the capitalist competition is stifled by big government cronies

And its gotten many times worse under Obamacare

Still though, many hundred times better than my memories of Edinburgh, and all of the horror stories constantly confirming the things that I already know

So 9 US ceos" get" 114 million per year because they are cutting costs, yet.... its NOT happening is it....
9 people getting nearly 14 million (average) EACH yet you are STILL paying TWICE what the UK and Canada pay.
and people ONLY in the last two years being allowed to have insurance for pre existing conditions.
Still millions without affordable healthcare and you have the gargantuan bollocks to claim capitalism is stifled, what a maroon.

You don't actually understand what "twice as costly" means do you.

Before Obamacare, after Obamacare

Nice of Barack to let the insurance CEOs help Gruber write his signature legislation, wasnt it

I wonder what Obamas kickback amounts to

If it's really 10% GDP, doesn't this mean that an 8.2% tax means that the NHS is operating in a deficit? How could that be?

Sanity, seriously, how do you keep yourself going? I've never really understood extreme righties who are at the bottom of the pile, like you. Does it not ever occur to you that no matter how much you arselick the richies who control your life, you're never, ever going to get off the bottom of the pile? Why do you treat those people who treat you as scum as friends, and those people who'd be on your side as scum? I really, really don't understand people like you.

Two times more.

I love the title and the idea behind this thread!
I really enjoy hearing about the political news from other countries.

Sounds like there are some major shake up's going on across the pond.

*Sanity, behave and let them update us in peace.
{Does EVERY thread have to be about you and your agenda?}
