Life experiences from early on shoved me down this path.
I was a quiet person from birth but I do not think my personality is submissive and therefore "I" can only be submissive.  My quiet nature is more introspective, measured and observational.  My submissiveness developed more from a need to grab affection.
I don't know about anyone else, but I did it wrong.  Mine is acquired because I found it worked better than anything else, not genetic as I do not believe that anyone is better by right, and not trained because no one trained me to cue into submissive behavior, no one else in my family is like this

As for the original question, Im honestly not sure why I am the way that I am. I think part of me was born this way, but another part of me just discovered that this was what made me feel good. So predisposed by birth maybe, but acquired through environment as well.

Status: offline 		These are the same nature vs nurture question that is still being debated and rated with zero firm results in personality, and the majority of other things, traits and structures.

We can each hypothesize what caused anything or note a turning/important event that feels defining, but there are so many factors involved there is no way to know.

So I can't answer why I'm a dominant or any of the rest. I've been as far back as I recall, but what caused that I have no way of knowing... Genetics purely? Genetic predisposition influenced before and/or after birth? No genetic factors whatsoever and purely environmental factors?

All I can answer, not being able to answer all those things in all their specific and accurate details is: I don't, know. I just am.
