I will, when you do.

You're pissed because you hung your dick out and I stepped on it for you. Suck it up.

Just as not all states set up health care exchanges.

It's how it works in this country. Suck it up.

Because this state (Michigan, I think) did not set one up, the guy took it to court to have his gun rights restored under federal law.

It's how it works in this country.

Musicmystery -> RE: Psychos Can Now Have Guns! (12/19/2014 9:24:08 PM)

They aren't, however, funding his right. Just holding it open.

See how that works?

He is not asking for them to purchase a firearm for him. He has petitioned for a redress of grievances. The court case was about fulfilling a federal law and regulation.

Article 6 Clause 2 is the Supremacy Clause. Federal laws apply to the states.

The funding thing is your tangent, no one else is looking at this case as a funding of rights case.

Musicmystery -> RE: Psychos Can Now Have Guns! (12/19/2014 9:45:55 PM)

there sure are a lot of posts defending that funding, though.

interesting.

It is hard to argue against this if you accept that the court was just protecting his rights.

soo are you saying in some states, people cannot get obamacare?

a closer example would be if they said, we're going to make it easier for immigrants to get citizenship, but OPPSS we're closing all the immigration offices, so good luck filing your paperwork

feel free to point out to us another law or regulation that requires you to file some type of paperwork but there are no offices to file it at.

until you can show at least one example of this other than the one this article is about you are comparing apples and oranges

skip the whole "constitution" issue and show ONE other example of a law or regulation that requires paperwork to be filed, but there is NO OFFICE to file it at.

no one is defending funding anything...

no one is saying the gov't should pay for the doctors who have to sign off
no one is saying the gov't should provide this without filing fees

all that's being said is you are going to offer people an avenue to do something you at the very least have to provide a place to FILE THE PAPERWORK

by your logic, the states are funding drunk drivers because they have DMV's to accept their paperwork and collect the required fees to get their licenses

noo I don't see how that works, did ANYONE who read this understand what he meant by this?

no MM I am not asking you to explain it, I am asking if ANYONE here besides YOU saw how that works

PLEASEEEE, could ANYONE, other than MM explain what he was trying to say?

Bet if all the Welfare offices were suddenly defunded, and there was no place to file that paperwork, we'd hear a very different story.

FR

I side with the gun nuts on this, this man went through a screening process in order to be proven fit for gun ownership.

You really don't understand what your babbling about. Since 'Society Security' is a welfare program. I would imagine there be....PLENTY....of senior citizens....EXTREMELY PISSED....at which ever group of idiots thought your idea was intelligent.....

....and remove them from office.

Same with other welfare type programs. That you are gleeful to add more pain and suffering to people already going through much in the way of pain and suffering. Not just financially either. The majority of individuals on some kind of assistance, is not 'a welfare queen', 'deadbeat dad' or 'crook'. Most are individuals that for numerous reasons, find themselves in dire straits. These people vote too. In retaliation, these people will figure out what you don't want cut out of the budge, and remove it. An when you bitch about it; they'll point out that you fired the first salvo. And did it without consideration or thought.

'Society Security' is a welfare program.

This "Society Security" welfare program of which you speak exists only in your imagination, joether. Social Security is a mandatory pay-to-play retirement program.

Really likening welfare to this situation is fucking ridiculous.
