I spoke too soon or else my luck ran out. I just received the following message: "Dear Mistress My name is ________ , I am from ________ and look for a session this evening , no safe word pro or not I am available now ....". It was nice while it lasted.

I don't hide anyone's posts here.

I know who annoys me so I hardly read what they post, or i cannot look away from their idiocy, so don't want to hide them.

On the other side I had to block a lot, if I get a nasty or stalkerish type.

Over the last few years, the point of how precious our time here is has been driven home to me on very high levels.

I was diagnosed with a condition that will, eventually, take my life. A year later, my son was killed. I have always believed that time is the one resource that we can never replenish.

Therefore, I choose not to waste my precious time on people that would attack me or speak ill of my dead son (who died, serving his country) or who consistently try to mis-represent my opinions or who accuse me of using drugs in an effort to "kill the messenger" or ...

In short, I come here to debate and anyone that can't follow simple debate rules is un-worthy of my precious time.

I guess that makes me: D/Lots of shit-stirring, mouth-breathing, knuckle-dragging, barely humans on hide.

Michael

ETA: In fairness, I've also put people on hide who have either been dishonest with me or who I have seen advocating dishonesty because, as I said before: time, being such a precious commodity, why should I waste any of it on someone who is just spouting lies?

M.P.C.

ETAA (Edited To Add, Again): I'm sick of trying to be fair but in fairness, there was one person who wasn't guilty of anything above but posted something so disconnected from reality that I just couldn't take anything they said seriously, ever again.

Also, there was one person whose communication skills were hampered by a condition and while my heart goes out to that person, trying to read their posts used to, literally, give me headaches. They had to go on "hide", as well, unfortunately.

M.P.C.

How can you properly mess with someone if you have them on hide?

The few times I've hidden people, I found "This user is on your 'hidden' list and the post has been hidden" more distracting than the posts themselves. Hiding folks also seemed to disrupt the flow of "conversation."

So I have no one hidden.

Years ago. Some for the gross pictures, others because I found their views repellent.
And a couple of people with strange fonts that I found myself getting eyestrain trying to read light pink on white or such.

I had one on hide but I haven't seen him post in a bit so I am not sure if it counts or not.

We're actively looking for someone, so I put on hide anyone who patently doesn't fit our criteria. Hence I have thousands on hide and so does Sir.

Doesn't that make the threads hard to follow?

The only person I ever put on hide was one who used to vomit forth HUGE posts in a pepto-pink font that were excruciatingly painful to read. Hiding posts because someone says things you don't agree with is intellectually bankrupt.

I hide people frequently on the other side. I think I have one or two on this side hidden as well (and without checking, I can guarantee that it's because of their knee-jerk, racist, and political -combined or singularly) views. Hell, I don't even know if they are still on the site. Nor do I care.

The hide button is something I used once because I was in a poor mood. I unhid that person within 5 minutes because I am a big boy and I figure if I can't tolerate someone in real life, I just let them waste their breath in the hopes that they will run out of them... forever... on the Internet I do the very same thing.
