Because the mindless, shit-eating little trolls will just stay under their bridges if no one posts on topic?

You post no matter what happens, so I doubt that's has anything to do with it.

You and the post you refer too both have it wrong about the Crusades, they took place before the formation of the Knights Templar. After the first crusade there was a flood of pilgrims to see the Holy Lands, these were often killed and robbed by bandits, so the Templars were set up to protect them.

Given that the Crusades cover a period of about two hundred years, and the Templars were formed following the First Crusade, I would think it difficult to claim that "they took place before the formation of the Knights Templar."

You mean religious fanaticism ,no?
Or are you referring to literal readings of ancient texts ?
Something you have in common with the fanatics [8|]

In your demented little worlds of make-believe you mindless little leftist freaks certainly like to pretend that Christians and others are fascists just as Islamists are, but a quick glance at daily headlines the world over betrays the fact that there is no real comparison

Slow down, take a breath and read what I posted.
Let me break it down for you a little bit more....your understanding and reading of certain verses in the Koran dovetails exactly with the jihadists reading
You both read it literally and come to the same conclusion:ie that it justifies killing, jihad and violence.

It is amazing that the people who decry the Crusades forget that the Muslims obtained the land not by peaceful conversion but obtained conversion via conquest. At the time the Crusades began Muslims controlled most of Spain, and a little publicized branch of the Crusades was focused on liberating Spain, another branch focused on what is now eastern Germany and Poland reclaim lands from "Orthodoxy".
The first was sparked by the attacks on pilgrims allowed by a breakdown of the Caliphate.

Musicmystery -> RE: 12 dead in Paris (1/11/2015 5:00:55 PM)

Followed by Crusaders who killed many more Byzantine Christians than Muslims.

Not exactly righteous knights.

Despite your extreme foolishness, that such demented teachings exist in the Koran and other "holy texts" in the world of Islam, and that millions of Muslims believe in said horrific teachings and act on them, committing murder and mass mayhem through the centuries and on probably every continent, cannot be laid at my feet

That I acknowledge the truth that said teachings cause the problems that they do does not reflect poorly on me or my character either

This, again, despite your extreme foolishness

slvemike4u -> RE: 12 dead in Paris (1/11/2015 5:09:15 PM)

Funny you use the word"extreme'...twice.
You really are an asshole aren't you?
I never said anything could be "laid at your feet"
I merely stated that you,and they, take the same literal "reading" of what is an ancient text.
It is what makes them jihadists and makes you an.......asshole [8|]

Its what makes them Islamists, or observant Muslims

What makes me an asshole, is that I post about the reality of it all

We finally find a point of agreement....you are indeed an asshole [:)]

If you were even a fraction as quick and bright as you wish you were you might have made the observation that I have had it written that I am an asshole over my avatar for many years now

I was not trying to negate your point. I was just adding some commentary. I hate all elements that target free speech.

Clearly the West is part of the problem in the Middle East, and our solutions have not worked well to stabilize the region. The US has been especially incompetent.

You can add most of Europe and the UK into that mix.

The problem is, despite moderate musings and declarations to the western media, the fundamental root of Islam and the total premise of western nations are a complete dichotomy and worlds apart.

The west believe in free speech. To offend or be offended is a fundamental right in our societies.

Islam, and countries ruled by it, have a fundamental belief that their religion, their prophet, and their holy book come first and blasphemy against any part of it deserves death. There is NO free speech in Islam.

There is the problem and never the twain shall meet.
It is sooo black and white and final that there can never be any compromise.

Check the last link I gave out in post#410.
Islamics want the world and they will kill and destroy anything that stands in the way of total domination - or die in the attempt.
Admittedly, only a few are extreme in pursuing it to it's bitter end.
But that doesn't detract from their fundamental belief system that the world should be Islamic and ruled by Sharia law.

More than a few

Fascism is an integral part of Islam, its not on the fringe at all

An example

Leave it to you to take a problem in another country and somehow manage to work in a slam at the US. Is that because a leberal paradise like France still experienced problems with Muslim terrorists?

You have to understand that without the US there would be no problems. Even if there is no discernable connection the US must have contributed or there wouldn't be a problem. America is the root of all evil because they haven't stamped out conservatism.
