The SeaHawks played one of the best playoff games EVER!!!

One of the best playoff games ever? Did you watch the game? They played a horrific game and only won because Green Bay completely shat the bed at the end. I'm happy they won but you would need to be seriously high or suffering from a traumatic brain injury to think the Seahawks played well.

Hardly

The packers couldn't score touchdowns on the Seahawks defense. They were held to 5 field goals and only 1 touchdown

The Seahawks out rushed, out passed, and gained more overall yards and first downs than the Packers. The Hawks were better in 3rd and 4th down effectiveness, they had more total drives and yards per play, more yards per rush and yard per pass

They were better in the red zone going 2 of 3 while Green Bay was only 1 of 3. Green Bay's lead throughout the game was due to the Seattle offense misfires.... But they didnt misfire the entire game. Once the Seahawks caught fire the Packers couldn't stop them

More on the Adventures of Tom Shady and Bill Belicheat.

Apparently, this wasn't a one-time thing. Oooops!

Whelp I'm rooting for an earthquake again. Bellicheat and Carroll in the Super Bowl. One is a despicable cuss who only plays within the rules when someone else is so far up his ass they taste his food before he does and the other is named Bill.

And they played so poorly that their fans began leaving the stadium before the game was over. Sure their defense played well, but was it more for their level of play or for the fact that Green Bay played not to lose and let opportunity slip through their fingers? Certainly Seattle's offense was grossly inept for 55 minutes of the game... and definitely did not live up to their billing. However, that said, good teams find ways to win, and the Seahawks found one.

The biggest play in that game was not the one everyone is talking about, the fake field goal, but when Green Bay intercepted the ball and the defender slid down to the ground thinking that was the right thing to do. No, he had plenty of open field... run that sucker back and chew more time off the clock, and maybe get in range for a field goal to ice the game away.

First downs were a wash (20/19), comparable passing yards (209/178), Seattle won the rushing game (194/135) and averaged 1 more yard per play. They also threw four picks and Wilson was sacked 6 times. Only one player broke 100 yards and that was only due to a 35 yard pickup in OT. This is hardly a performance worthy of being called the "one of the best playoff games EVER". This game was a sea of mediocrity, for both teams.

A trick play and a freak recovery of an onside kick are hardly "catching fire". They were very lucky to come out of this game with a win.

Maybe so stef, I did not watch every minute of the game.

I was just shocked that they could come from so far behind with less than 5 minutes to go.

I thought they had lost the game, and they came back and snatched a victory.

Well, what counts is they won!!!!
It's time for the Superbowl, let's boogie!

Go Seahawks!!!

Some of the most entertaining games I have ever watched had mediocre statistics...The better matched and the more talented the participants just means better football... but not better statistics... Good teams tend to cancel each others talents out.

Do you think that was the case with this game?

In the Seattle Green Bay game I do...at least for that particular game. But of course like everything in sports just an opinion... But I have seen many games where the team with the fewer first downs and yards actually were the better team because they often score quickly and do not need to build up yardage.

Lets face it... Green Bay played the better game and Seattle was lucky... but it still takes a lot of talent to take advantage of that luck... and both teams were good enough to do it.

The SeaHawks are not my favorite team in the NFL, but they are my favorite West Coast team {lately}.
I have enjoyed watching them play the last few years, and I have taken a liking to them.
Let the best team win!

Let's get ready to rumble!

I will be digging out the old Seahawks jersey, and the even older (really ugly) Seahawks hat to get my 12 on tomorrow, and I'll be a fuckload louder than any bandwagon fan in the room.

The way I see it the Pats can't win. If they win the SB they'll be accused of cheating, if they lose people will say "SEE this is what happens when they don't cheat!". SMFH

It's Superbowl Sunday!!!! Hope everyone has their plans set in motion as I guarantee traffic and sports pubs are gonna be pandemonium! I am torn between popcorn at home with the peeps or hitting the town but we'll see how the day ensues. I am semi expecting there to be a promo for 50 shades since it's been all over the airwaves for the past two weeks.
