Kirata -> DOJ and FBI find no evidence... (1/21/2015 11:04:13 PM)

Justice Department lawyers will recommend that no civil rights charges be brought against the police officer who fatally shot an unarmed teenager in Ferguson, Mo., after an F.B.I. investigation found no evidence to support charges... Federal investigators interviewed more than 200 people and analyzed cellphone audio and video... Officer Wilson’s gun, clothing and other evidence were analyzed at the F.B.I.’s laboratory in Quantico, Va. Though the local authorities and Mr. Brown’s family conducted autopsies, Mr. Holder ordered a separate autopsy, which was conducted by pathologists from the Armed Forces Medical Examiner’s office at Dover Air Force Base in Delaware... ~NY Times

The lying pieces of shit who ginned up a firestorm of lootings and murders had no comment.

Eric Holder must be BESIDE himself. The poor guy. First, someone tries to vote, using his name and now, this.

Next, we'll find out that those members of the NBP party in Philadelphia should have been prosecuted.

I feel bad for the race-baiting piece of shit.

I agree, holder and the administration must be disappointed. the result doesn't fit their hoped for narrative of America as a racist society...

Really. You truly believe that's the goal? [8|]

Well, I can understand where people might think that, given some of his comments.

While speaking with ABC news Eric Holder said that much of the opposition he and his boss face is largely because of “racial animus.”

That’s right, if you disagree with the president, it isn’t because you see his legislation as being problematic for the proper governance of the republic, it’s actually because you’re racist.

In typical Eric Holder fashion, the attorney general has attempted to position the American public against the president based solely on the issue of race.

Holder, who recently implied in a speech before an audience of African-American supporters that Republicans in Congress treated him as harshly as they would any other official in the Obama administration because of his skin color...

He recalled being stopped for speeding in New Jersey, telling the assembled residents, “I remember how humiliating that was, and how angry I was, and the impact it had on me.”

He also expressed outrage about being stopped in Washington, D.C. on his way to a movie.Holder remains convinced that he was pulled over for speeding and stopped on the way to the movies because he’s black.

Well, good thing Holder is on the way out.

THAT he's on the way out says something about the administration's choices and message as well.

kdsub -> RE: DOJ and FBI find no evidence... (1/22/2015 8:41:54 AM)

I believe Eric Holder is an honorable man who was caught between his duties and his fear of being labeled an uncle tom. He is doing his best to appease all by talking out of both sides of his mouth. I understand and sympathize with him. As long as he performs his duties fairly in the end I will respect him even if he is not perfect.

A shooter walks away from a homicide uncharged. I'm shocked! No finding of excessive force for a police officer, I'm shocked.

Actually only after this incident did I realize how how few police officers get tagged with excessive force.

Must say I continue to have trouble with a Police Officer emptying his pistol into an unarmed teenager.

Do you seriously think that if there'd been ANY reason at all to bring Federal charges, this administration would have hesitated in doing so?

Of course you do know the background issues are quite complicated.

For instance, consider the case of Tamir Rice. How do you rationally explain that one?

kdsub -> RE: DOJ and FBI find no evidence... (1/22/2015 9:51:25 AM)

Only people who do not look at the evidence presented in a fair unbiased manner would think that way.

Think what way? The Tamir Rice case is not an anecdote, its part of a larger pattern.

You know Kirata sleeps better knowing the rioters were "upset over nothing," but the rest of us living in America are wondering what will happen next.

Nice quotes, but nobody said "upset over nothing." You made that up. Rioting isn't the answer even when there is something to be upset over. And who the fuck deputized you to speak for the "rest" of America?

Let me be clear here:

I continue to have trouble with a Police Officer emptying his pistol into an unarmed teenager. That's where I stand.

Well for starters, people like you. Case in point:

I continue to have trouble with a Police Officer emptying his pistol into an unarmed teenager.

You mean a criminal fleeing a felony robbery who refused to obey a lawful order and attacked a police officer.

But is that a justifiable use of a firearm?? Really?

There are loads of other ways to deal with this situation.
It appears the cops over there are soo reliant on their guns that it is their first resort - shooting.

I would have thought, given that there is indeed a charge of "excessive force" available, that the officer should publicly face that charge and get himself exonerated if he was truly innocent.

But, I guess in a gun culture such as the US, the gun comes first and any other consideration comes a poor second. [8|]
