I have I admit I've stretched the truth few times well more exaggerated but still stretching is stretching.

You are asking humans if they've ever lied or stretched the truth? Jesus. Possibly the most idiotic and pointless post I've seen here yet. Let's not dumb the forums down any further, please.

Hey I will have you know I almost made pancakes last week! (I actually pulled out a frozen waffle but really, I almost made pancakes)

Plus I was way busy frantically cleaning and making my place all purty.

I solemnly swear that I have never lied except for this sentence.

Also pancakes are super easy to make.

When I was 6 I tore apart the house (OK only half of the upstairs, and the stairs), dumped out all the food and cleaning products all over (I left the bleach off the furniture because I thought that was over kill), then blamed my little sister for it (well technically I just waited until asked and said "I don't know" they assumed that the baby in the crib did it not the jaded youngster tired of taking beatings for things she didn't do... I just wanted a taste of the action) she went into my sisters room and baby sis aid "here mommy I went poopoo" and handed it to her (before she had time to register and pull her hand back) that sealed the deal (until a few years later when I fussed up and by that time even my sister was sure she had done it)

That story can be read with or without the paranthesis, you get it either way... but which goes down easier? Truth is often just about detail. You can try to put in enough to be convincing, but then you ruin the story.. there are always more paranthesis you can add. I don't know very many people that lie on purpose, regularly. Most often lies are it to the form of judgements without informtion, or sarcasm, or leaving out details. When someone lies on purpose it is usually deflection because they are scared, or a game so they can brag about what they made someone else believe.

Technically it is the flipping of pancakes that worries me, not the mixing (or eating).

BTW it is raining cats and dogs outside today. Not really. If it were I'd finally have the dog I want so badly, I just stand out there with open arms until the pre-trained dancing poodle I crave landed in my arms.

Of course, I've stretched the truth. It's been quite a few years, though.

I think, when you include the words "ever", "never", "any" and "all", you negate whatever good the question might do.

The trick is don't go for large pancakes at first, start small. About the size of the spatula or smaller if you need. Another thing that I find helps is to butter the skillet between each pancake. Watch closely until the bubbles almost stop the quickly scoop and slap it back down. Don't lift it too high out of the skillet, just about three inches. Give that a try. Also buttering the skillet cooks the flavor into the pancakes.
