FYI Ladies: If your profile picture is a Meme or a Sex Toy or some guy's ass or a series of porn photos, the first impression the viewer will have is to wonder if you might be a man.

I mean this respectfully: This impression is not your fault, ladies. It's all the males posing as women to try to manipulate other users. However, so you know, memes for photos = "Might Be A Man".

That is all.

In your opinion. Since there is no factual basis for this speculation on your part, I'll just make the leap that it is a heavily biased opinion.

Welcome to the forums.

Thank god you broke your forum cherry to share that bit of wisdom with us. It's like a light was suddenly turned on!

To OP, in my case it means I have nothing to prove. And LMAO, stef's dry wit is hilarious. Never skips a beat.

A lot of women post memes for their photo. Safe to say, a lot of them may not be aware of the justifiable assumption that many of the people with "female" profiles are men. The more people know, the better.

Thank goodness you came along. I've been messaging all of those "ladies", soliciting cyber-sex.

Do you think I might have been used?

Welcome to the inter-webz.

....However, so you know, memes for photos = "Might Be A Man".

You have quantifiable data or creditable links for this unsubstantiated opinion?

Or do you think we are all soooo naive as to not know this could be a possibility?

Or, more likely, you are naive enough to think everyone is as uneducated as you appear to be. [8|]

Welcome to the real world! [8D]

I imagine they actually mean an image macro, not a meme. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image_macro Seems like most people seem to think image macros are memes though...

peppermint -> RE: FYI Ladies: Memes for photos = "Might Be A Man". (1/26/2015 5:44:26 PM)

Didn't you know that all the serious men pretending to be women use the hottest pictures of women they can find on the internet? Nothing like a picture of a hot woman to make some men lose their common sense.

When I had a picture of me as my avatar I had some guy look at my profile almost daily. It was creepy so I took down that picture and put up my tattoo. He stopped looking.

Aww man, you mean that 21 year old smokeshow I've been messaging was a guy?

I need a sarcasm font, Maybe this one.

Naw, it's an "Image macro" like I mentioned a few posts up. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image_macro
Whereas a "Meme" is something quite different and doesn't necessarily have to be image-related. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meme

Yeah....I always just put cartoons on my profile. It's kind of a test to see if the guy (if he actually LOOKS at my profile) has a sense of humor.

I assume you are well meaning, but people don't come off well when they present their personal subjective opinion/experience as some universal truth. You would have done better writing: "When I see that a woman's profile picture is a Meme or a Sex Toy or some guy's ass or a series of porn photos, the first impression I have is to wonder if she might be a man. Anyone feel that same way?"

See the difference: In my version, you are opening a discussion rather than giving a lecture (and no offense people look like asses when they start a thread to give a lecture and end by saying "That is all," as if to suggest no comment is acceptable other than applause). Also, in my version, you are open to the idea that other people might disagree with your opinion (which clearly some do).

Also, keep in mind that your forum postings can be easily searched from your profile, so if you are looking for dominant women, you don't serve yourself with a thread that makes you look snide and thin-skinned.
