convince me i am mistaken in mine, and i will re-examine my beliefs. i actually do welcome thoughtful conversation, and despite what you say, try to give it in return. in the meantime, you will not find me running around the forums calling people names, or dismissing what people say as lies, nonsense, twaddle, etc.

FD Not aimed at anyone with apologies to Lucy for initially forgetting to put this disclaimer in. Can anyone actually defend what Moore and Maher said? Does the left even understand that this isn't even about the war per se but about the affect of wars on the men who fight them and their families. People like Kyle, who are willing to make these sacrifices for the rest of us make "men" like Moore and Maher feel small and petty, that is why they have to bring them down.

Mike we , meaning the majority who elect our representatives, mandate that the military, subservient to said elected officials, put their lives on the line for their country,at the behest of said elected officials. Moore of course has every right to say what he said... but why not pick on "Said Elected Officials"instead of the men and women that are doing their best to carry out the will of a duly elected government of the people? Or that he's able to be where he is today because at some point, some soldier offered up all he had to give.

I'm not a big fan of Moore,never actually seen one of his films...But he's one of those "job creators" isn't he ? He's an entrepreneur who has ,from humble beginnings ,made a success of himself. His message isn't one you like,or agree with,but why does the right try to muzzle him. Isn't his right to free speech the same right that you are saying Chris Kyle went to war to defend(a fallacy I have a hard time buying as I don't recall just where Iraq attacked our freedoms )? You guys all pray at the alter of free speech till you object to the speech. You all prostrate yourselves before the "free market system" and it's ability to weed out that which is weak and unproductive,till someone who isn't in "your club" becomes a success in that same market place. Whats the issue here,you either see the movie or you don't. You either see Kyle as a hero for his work overseas or you don't You either think he was doing gods work using guns to help victims of PTS or you think he was a fool who paid with his life for his errors.
