Status: offline 		Ok, I'll walk that back a little bit. The US has one of the highest rates of HIV in industrialized countries. The US also has about three times as many circumcised males as the countries you mentioned. (about 55% vs. under 20%) US circumcision rates and HIV rates are both higher than most of the industrialized world. My point stands: The CDC's correlation between circumcision and HIV prevention is exaggerated.

Fair point, well made. I would assume it is because in these bastions of freedom, we are freer to fuck, or our women are looser, and that is why we are making war on them.

The CDC isn't the one making the correlation, that was done by the aforementioned african studies which have some issues.

Funny story, after the circumcision studies there was a follow up study done to see if bathing would effect HIV transmission. It turns out that bathing increased the rate of transmission.

Its preposterous to suggest that obsessive washing keeps one safe from STDs in the first place

Actually the study was about washing within 24 hours after sex and didn't require the use of soap. To qualify for the methodology a participant didn't need to do any more than dip their dick in fecal water 24 hours after sex.......if you consider that "obsessive washing"
