"Dinosaurs" Muppet's meet the Honeymooners

OMG! For years, my youngest (born in '88) told people that I "knocked down trees" for a living (I couldn't tell the kid what I actually did)!

So....what do you actually do? Or what did you actually do back then?

"Dinosaurs" also brings to mind "Land of the Lost"

Tonight I had a hankering for Mrs. Parker and the Vicious Circle, but it's more affected and sad than I remembered.

Aeon Flux. Loved the dark, surreal nature of it all before the movie went and ruined it.

The Fifth Element, Boondock Saints, Lucy, Big Trouble in Little China and The Golden Child with Eddie Murphy. Those are amazing for the balance of action, comedy and overall awesomeness.

The Golden Child is actually a good Eddie Murphy flick, much beeter than some of the Beverly hills cop sequels.

Any one remember "On the Air"?

It was a really surreal comedy from the early 90 's directed by non other then "screaming goat baby thing"himself,David Lynch.

I think it lasted a whole four episodes before "On the Air"became Off the air,too bad,it was really ridiculous

Youtube has recently taken down a few movies that are ubber hard to find and that are never released, sigh

One of em,"black cat white cat"
Feel good move bout Serbian crime families, romani life and live... . . Yeah well fuck you I have feelings too

Another one was "Zardoz"
Trippy sci fi staring a certain Sean Connery
The word psychedelic doesn't do it justice, the movie starts with a giant greek tragedy mask floating down from the sky, gives a monolog summarized by the words"Gun good, penis bad"before it spews out loads of guns from it's mouth.. . . It gets progressively weirder from there.Kinda like Logan's run in reverse, with aLoT mOrE dRuGszzz

More then a few listed above are on the hulu and the net flicks(dinosaurs, boy and his dog,Chinese ghost story, ect.)
I snagged a copy of shogun assassin from da local pawn, got dirty ho the same way, luckily both dvd's.

I got some rare tapes, but lord knows if I'll ever buy another working vcr,or if the tapes are even still in good condition

Got peter sellers fiendish plot of fu Manchu and casino royal
Some sub genius propaganda films(speaking of wizards of space and time)
The original beauty and the beast(silent black and white)
The odd ball film "Heaven"
Brazil
Amazon women on the Moon(80's comedy gold, big breasted gold)
And a shit load more films I haven't sprung from storage in Years..

I love screwball comedies from the early 60s: Yours, Mine & Ours...With 6 You Get Egg Roll, etc. Still love "Death to Smoochie", Abbott & Costello TV or movies, Don Knotts movies. Cartoons from the late 50s to the late 70s: Magilla Gorilla, Grape Ape, Touché Turtle, etc.

Are you all talking about this (youtube link) show "Dinosaurs"? I remember a few episodes of that, if so. xD

Ah, yes. Fragglerock was fun, too.

Hi, Rocka,
I remember hearing about that show, AeonFlux, but never watched. I'd be curious about it now, if they brought it back, that is.

Hi, Manko,
For what it's worth, I've caught bits and pieces of The Fifth Element a few times here, on TNT, TBS, or another one of the movie channels, I forget which.

A comedy, way back when in UK called 'The small world of Gurney Slade' with Anthony Newley as a truly strange guy............at one stage he actually peels a woman of an advertising billboard and they go dancing down the street together.

I know nothing of show popularity, so if they're popular, oh well.

Dead Like Me
Howl's Moving Castle
Battle of the Planets (and not a single ripoff will do)
Wheel of Fish
Art School Confidential
The Green Forest
Nosferatu

and so on.
