ORIGINAL: ResidentSadist Told me it was -45 below 0 where she was in Michigan. She had the heat cranked up and warmest it got was 55 in the house. How many of you have the oven on, space heaters plugged in and fire places with a roaring fire to keep warm in the cold snap? Where I'm at in Michigan, I think it reached -20 something with a daytime high of 2. I dunno, I don't pay much attention. My internal temperature gauge only reads in muggy, not nipply, slightly nipply, nipply, HolyShatIFrozeMyNipplesOff. Guess which temp I'm at now. We have a gas fireplace that has been running to supplement the heat. Not as great as a woodburning one, but it works. An electric heater kept full blast for a few hours in our bedroom before bedtime to warm it up a little. Getting into bed with shockingly cold sheets = perma cold feet at night.
