Born in the Rockies, and lived everywhere under the damn sun.....I am sooo over the snow thing. Living in Alabama, I don't have to deal with it any more! YAY!! haha

Except that since we aren't used to it down here, everyone loses their damn mind over the threat.

Governor called a state of emergency last week and there was NO snow.

Kids are going to lose their damn minds when they actually have to go endure another full week of school. They are getting lots of breaks right now due to Snowmageddon.

Reminds me of when I lived in VA and school districts shut down for less than a foot of snow.

But there was a fair amount of rural area in that district which I guess was to blame.

Wouldn't that depend who you have to share the couch with?

I was asking the same question...

No. It means that the sanctity of DIBS is not to be trifled with.

What I choose to do with it after I have secured my place on the couch is up to me... even if it is their couch. Such is the tradition of DIBS. It kind of goes hand in hand with calling SHOTGUN for a car ride.

I know some areas are running out of places to put the snow. I say we hall it to wherever ChrchofDrk and AlabamaPrincess are located and drop the heaps there.

I'll chip in for gas money.... I spent part of yesterday shoveling 3 inches of partly cloudy (%&(@# Weatherman)

Keep it up and I'll call DIBS on the beer.

And now I just feel like a jerk.

We'll say it's for the rest of you all scrambling for a piece of the couch.

(For Gauge, I've got coffee, tea, cocoa, and any other warm/cold beverages you drink.)

Never feel like a jerk. Your OK in my book, and that is a thin book.

Ahhh, so you can ride in the front seat, but the couch is mine.

Not a chance. It is audible or it doesn't count. There are no do-overs.

Actually, my thinking was: you, calling "dibs" put you in the driver's seat (so to speak). Shotgun "rides" next to the driver.

Just so you know: SLEEP was all I had in mind.
