To me it doesn't matter who does it (DOJ or some local prosecutor), if a crime was committed then it should be both investigated and prosecuted as appropriate. If those that are tasked to enforce our laws fail to do so, then I believe that society will collapse into anarchy. If I violate a law, I would confess. No problem. I once left a safe full of classified information unlocked and went home. Pure oversight on my part, guilty as charged. I started an investigation into the act. The punishment could have been anything from non-judicial to 10 years and $10k. Because I was honest about it, I got the former punishment and it was determined that no leak occurred (I have no clue how they did that). The point is, you do the crime, you do the time - whatever that is.

LOL No one has approached how this e-mail revolation will impact her Presidential run (should she choose to do so). I think it will become a big issue and the excuse (others did it first) won't hold up I don't think.

Yes the repubs plan to scrape every hole n dig up every questionable thing they can, regardless of the relavent laws, facts, or truth...of course and have been since they lost in '12. Its why the law was changed. My only question is why are they pre ejaculating this now, why not 8 months down the line. The fact that powell and others in her position did it does in fact count. this is supposed to be a big story relating to their other presidential bid attack..... ..BENGHAZI its a distraction away from how badly they have been screwing up since their reign began in january, and just how lousy their possible candidates for 16 are ...with little to hope for.
