My wife and I just recently Married,
have finally settled into Married life.
 
Unfortuately She had To English Cocker
Spainels {puppies} that She was selling,
that has gone bad!

A Man from Over seas, England in fact
offered to buy them.

We where so excited that we would get the $2,500
from Hin for Buying and Shipping of the Pupps.

He sent a Cashiers check which we cashed at
the bank. It seems to have cleared?

Now this guy is saying that his Mother was in
an automobile accident, and needed Brain Surgery.
{Please}

He only wanted $500 back from us, to pay
for Medical Exspenses.

We've used what he sent to pay bills, etc.

He now is threatening us with Violence,
telling us if his Mother dies He will find Our family and kill them all! Also that he would do whatever it would
take to make sure We suffered Death at anytime!

We have reported this to the Oklahoma Police
where the pupps are staying at Her Fathers
untill we can get a house. Also The Vegas
Police Dept. as well.
 
Today this man phoned from a number in Oklahoma.
{Hmmm}[8|]

They are watching {Police} Her Dads place as
He is 82 years old.

We Now know this was and is a Scam, but
Please just Pray they catch this Guy before someone get's hurt.

I am sorry to hear of your troubles.  I do hope this gets resolved soon.  Just more examples of the screws in some peoples head that are missing. (his, not yours)

This is one of the latest scams. They send money orders that take about 2 weeks to come back as stolen or counterfit. By this time they've got a dead relative or emergency and need the money back. Because you're not falling for the first hook (return of a small amount) they're having to put on more pressure. In the long run you're likely to find out the money order is no good and will be VERY VERY VERY happy that you called the cops and didn't send this fool a dime or your pups.

yup I've hear of this one just this week on the Clark Howard show.. don't send them a dime. It's a major scam.

And $500 would do what? I've never heard of cash saving a life in a hospital. Even in England, don't they treat first and bill later? Even if he demanded the whole $2500 back, I can't name one operation or procedure that would cover.

Not to mention, this guy is from England. Yet he buys a plane ticket to fly over and call you? How much is a ticket these days? What good would the $500 do then? Pay for his way back home?

You've been scamed. However, going to the police was the still the right thing. Not for your safety, but  to hopefully help catch this moron. After all, you may be finding yourself $2500 short very soon. I pray this debt does not upset your finances.

As for your dogs, was the plan to send them to England? If so, that should have tipped you off right there. No one takes animals over seas. The international policy for taking cats, dogs, and such to the UK is to have them quarntine for what I think is 6mths before they are allowed to go. The quarntine procedure usually kills the pet before they can fly out.

Anyways, I'm confident that you and your family are very safe. If the punk claims that he can't whip out $500 for a medical expense, where is he going to get the money and resources to know where you and all your family live and then have the means to kill you all?

In the future, I recomend that you do your business dealings with a hand shake, signed contract, and cash only.

From what I understand, everyone in England gets free medical care. It is free, in the sense that everyone pays a portion of their paychecks to a medical fund for the entire country. No one is turned away because of not being able to pay.

Just to clarify - the UK offers universal health care for everyone.  It can be very slow at times (I had an aunt wait over a year for a hip replacement), but overall the quality of health care that is free is good.   Free, of course, in that it's paid for out of your taxes.

There IS an option to see doctors and pay out-of-pocket to get things to happen more quickly than they would if going through the national health system.

Regardless....still a scam.

I'm confused by this scam altogether.  They send you a genuine cheque which clears and you spend the money, then they try and get a fifth of it back by threatening you? 

Even if they later try and get more, it's pretty rare for a scam artist to send you genuine money first.

This is a scammer, he probably was always in oklahoma. It'd cost more than 500 to fly from England, anyway. So, it's not even logical for him to spend more than 500 to fly over here to collect the 500 dollars to get brain surgery(Lol, that's cheap). The guy either fed you a bad money order that the bank has marked cleared, but will be returned further down the chain, as being fraudulent. Or he is just trying to get some of his money back, because you if threaten people half the time they'll give you the money for peace of mind.

I had less threatening forms of this scam happen online, and I just write a kind fuck off letter back. Never, hear from them again. It doesn't even make any sense 500 for brain surgery. Whatever, tell him to sell the dogs, and get back the 2500.

The cashiers check is a fake..but good enough to fool the bank (at least for a while) then after that..they ask for cash back...what they get.. is a profit. 
 
So in reality..the scammer is out maybe $20 for the fake check..and therefore gets a $480 profit..
 
It makes him seem honest..since he isn't being greedy by asking for all of the $2500 back...
 
Also.. even though the call looked to be from OK...most calling cards show up from a different state..and you don't know which one the person is actually calling from.  So in essence, you still have no clue where he is located.

PS.. I hate to say this..but the ppl that cash the check..usually end up getting charged by their bank for the fraud.

NEVER EVER SEND ANY MONEY TO ANYONE YOU DON'T KNO WELL OVER TIME! Ferchrissakes, I can't believe you could have fallen for such a classic scam! Doesn't anybody read the papers/watch the news??? There is a Nigerian scam story every two months, lol... Good Luck!!!

May all scam artists choke to death on their own prolapsed hemorrhoids!

this whole thing makes no sense at all.

what happened with the dogs?
if the guy is only wanting 1/5th of the money back (and i thought brain surgery was a very costly operation anywhere in the world) why not just ask for the whole amount back?

how did he get your phone number?

oh, and by the way...i sympathize with you for your plight, but i do not pray...best of luck

GA, there was no "money."
It was a Bum Check.
Overseas checks take 2-3 weeks to clear totally. In the meantime your bank would just go ahead and credit the amount to your account out of courtesy.
When the check doesn't clear in 2-3 weeks you get stuck for the amount by your bank.
The 2-3 weeks is the "window" that these deuschbags exploit.

Im sorry to hear this... and Im sorry to sound stupid or insensative right now but im a little confused as to were the scam is if you got the money it seems if anything you are up money and puppies and he has nothing so what exactly was the scam Im so confused!!
