That his venue for announcing his run for President was at a location best known for being the opposite of its name: Liberty. All the students there did not have a real option to not being there. Unlike those liberal bastions of higher learning so many on the right like to attack, such schools never require its students to attend. Yes, Liberty University forces its students to speeches every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. If they do not attend they are issued 4 demerits and a $10 fine. All conservative schools have some level of regulation and penalty that is equally harsh. Which is ironic since most conservatives believe in less government intrusion into their lives. That these colleges behave like this, openly I might add, shows conservatives are typically to stupid to understand the concept. Liberty University even removed the Democrat party on campus, but help promote the Republican and Tea Party clubs on campus. Realizing it cant remove free speech from its students, they allowed the Democrat Party back on campus. EXCEPT, it had to do the following things: 1 ) change its name to something 'Non-Democratic-Sounds' 2 ) It has to support marriage and is against abortion 3 ) Can not associate with the Democrat Party or organizations. How many restrictions do the Republican and Tea Party clubs have compared to these three heavy ones? None! So 'yes', bashing 'Liberty' University is quite allowed here. That CNN's poll recently shows that Hillary Clinton, if/does throw her hat into the race doesnt have to bother actually campaigning for office. As it seems all the liberals and moderates, not to mention many conservatives would vote her into office. Ted is at a 35% deficit to Hillary Clinton. For comparison, Romney was at a 28% deficit against Obama after the conventions and he STILL lose the race! His wife had to quit her job at Goldman Sachs, otherwise there might be a conflict of interest. To which I have to ask, was there not already a conflict of interest with him as a senator that has to deal with people doing multi-billion dollar deals with Goldman Sachs? Now he is accepting the Afford Care Act. A law he was once willing to bankrupt the nation over just a few years ago! He's not required to obtain a health insurance. In fact, under the ACA one does not have to have a health insurance policy; however on the next income tax they would be required to pay 'x' dollars per person in the household. As the article points out, he doesnt have to obtain the federal exchange version. Nor one of the states. He could be a.....rebel....and pay out of pocket in total defiance. But, he chooses the most affordable insurance of all the options open to him. Which is sort of why the ACA was created..... I find it amusing all the conservatives and libertarians trying to defend this guy's position. More funny that he is one of the 47 Senators that signed a letter to Iran. Which states: If he became President, Iran and all other nations can simply by pass him and go straight to Congress for any deals. He effectively torpedoed his own foreign policy BEFORE he got the nomination from either the GOP or the TP. The clown race of 2016 has now officially started. We should take bets as to the next Republican/Tea Partier to throw their hat in the race and get a 'seat' in the clown car. Just a side note of the other 2016 GOP/TP hopeful that signed that same letter with the Senators: 1 ) Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal 2 ) Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker 3 ) Former Texas Gov. Rick Perry 4 ) Former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum Likewise, with Ted Cruz, all their foreign policies just got fucked by their own actions.
