MasterFireMaam -> RE: What does REAL mean? (7/16/2006 11:26:18 AM)

Ok, is it narcissistic to reply to myself? LOL I got to thinking about what I said and I realized I didn't explain what my definition. Being real means you are on an active, AWARE journey in discovering who you are. Then, you live your life with honesty and integrity, not hiding who you are and being faithful to your own life tenants and beliefs. It doesn't mean you have to shout it from the mountain top, of course; that's not always appropriate. But, it does mean that you have a sense of well-being and acceptance about yourself and the way you live your life. We awaken into being being true to ourselves, into being real. We find that being loved by another can begin our journey into being real; we are real to them, they can see us in our true form, like the velveteen rabbit was real to his Boy. This can lead us to tranform fear of ourselves into it's oppostie, love for ourselves. When we are real to ourselves, we change and are real to everyone, in much the same way the fairy changed the velveteen rabbit into being real for everyone (namely the other rabbits). Maybe that helps...maybe not. Makes perfect sense to ME. [;)] Master Fire
