We make excuses for lack of integrity and honesty.  I keep being told "Everyone Lies" and the people saying that scare the hell out of Me.  Guess what?  Some people tell the truth, even when its difficult.  When its difficult is when it matters most.  Thats what integrity is about.  Thats what being REAL is about.  Thats what being mature and confident is.  Thats how You gain Trust and Respect.  My circle gets tighter, but I can trust the people in it.  Would rather have One friend I can trust then 10,000 bullshit artists telling Me they love Me.  Who knows how they really feel or what their motives are?  I need honesty, I need REAL.  A fake can break your heart, steal your soul, make you lose your mind, destroy your health and clean out your bank account.  Thats why I am REAL and ask for REAL.

Betrayal hurts and destroys people.  A 7 year old knows its wrong to lie, pose and fake.  That is why people are so hungry for REALNESS.

People know how old they really are.  They know how much they weigh and their job status. They know if they are single or not.  They know when they are cheating.  And they know when they are lying about these things, its not a judgement call; its black and white.  That is not being Real.  Real people are honest

....with themselves and others.

Well... third time I have written a reply.. and the other two were good and explained so much about how I view truth and trust. But timing out twice has worn on me. To me real is as others have said about honesty.

Telling the truth to someone that you know want to hear a certain answer is the most difficult thing that you can do. You know you will probably cause them pain. But in that pain there is a peace. To truely trust someone enough to be truthful about all things is a rare and wonderful gift. To reach that level where both parties are secure enough to accept anything that is said should be celebrated. I have only reached that with someone once. And it was painful at times when I thought I did something good but it really hurt the other person. But even that pain is peace in a sense. Even when the feelings of love died I felt almost joy because I knew it was real. It shattered me but I knew it was the honest truth, it was sad that something so passionate had ceased to be but knowing that it was real and pretending would not fix it helped me to accept it.

"It is better to have loved and lost than never loved at all" Better being subjective here, I think it is more accurate to say 'I know that someone loved me'. To truely know it with no doubt is a divine experience.

I think that is real.

Real means this to Me:

When I cut you, you bleed.

When I hurt you, you cry.

When I talk, you listen.

When you need, you ask.

When it hurts, I hear it.

When it feels good, I hear it.

When I love, you know, without a word being said.

When I hate, you understand.

When I need, you're there.

When you need Me, I hear about it and I'm there for you.

It takes so many things to be Real to Me, but these are a good start. Sometimes it's not about what you give, or what you take, it's about what you make.
