my One is interested in anal playing.. sex... etc.... but i'm still on old school.. where i believe its dirty.. i don't mind Him touching etc... i just can't get past the fact of .. well what comes out of there... is there any way.. to clean it.. etc... does an enema.. do the trick really? i appreciate any information at all... thank you.

Yes it does, you might need to do repeated enemas until the water runs clear. They don't have to be huge amounts of water as you are not trying to clean out the whole colon, just a small portion near the end.

if you buy the pre-filled drugstore enemas, empty them out and re fill them with plain, warm water. the pre-filled ones contain something that is not good for you. another good tip from my very cool female gyno!

Enemas work very nicely, but I would give at least a half and hour between enema and actual sex to make sure that everything came out that needed to come out, because things can get "watery" and even more messy if one doesn't let what's up there come out completely.

That is a great point, Julia. So very true and so very often overlooked when speaking of enemas.

Julia is right (and thanx for the tip sexyred!)... As one who enjoys giving enemas in the interest of cleaning for better mutual enjoyment (while also getting oral as I swat the girl during nozzle insertion and liquid squriting) I use up the time as she sits on the pot with fun tit tortures... It's great when she deepthroats as the liquid gets squirted! WOOF WOOF!!!

They contain saline if just doing just one this is fine but if doing more than one it can cause to much sodium in the system. Use the liquid for your first then refill w/tap water for the rest. My solution to this is just to use a bag and hose on my subs. it holds more and gives a better clean out

The over the counter (Fleet, etc.) enemas have a mild laxative in them. They aren't really "bad" for you, per se, where they can harm you, but they're bad in the sense that, if you're using them for anal-rectal cleansing before anal play/anal sex, the laxative may cause more stool to move down the colon and into the rectum and defeat the purpose for what you took the enema for in the first place. If you use that one, and then repeat a time or two with plain water, you should be just fine. Even if it does happen, well, okay, ewww, ickypoo, just wash up and go on. No big deal. Everyone poops, even Master. You can save the empty bottle, wash it out and reuse it for future sessions. I have found just one quick plain water rinse of the lower colon/rectum plenty enough cleaning for a play session.

There is a reason why HIV and other diseases are easier to spread rectally... rectal tissue is sensitive, rips easily, and organisms can be introduced directly into the blood stream. It is wise to use care and caution when sticking fluid up your anus.

Yes, but if someone is using one of those little round plastic-tipped Fleet bottles in such an aggressive manner as to cause ripping and tearing of the anal tissues, then they have bigger problems to worry about than tap water, and distilled water isn't going to prevent the infection that's going to occur from the organisms that are already in the unsterile rectum. On the minute chance that someone might be getting an enema with such violent and destructive force to cause ripping and tearing of the mucous membranes, but I think it's unlikely. And guess what? Those huge butt plugs, anal dildoes, and even penises with or without condoms have the potential to cause more tissue damage than that little Fleet enema bottle. And they're not sterile either![:o]

It isn't just the enema bottle, the bacteria/virus is in an ideal living environment at body temperature to grow, then comes the anal sex a short time later, which can sometimes rip a person microscopically inside, no bleeding and no pain. It is why anal sex is considered a high risk sex act to spread certain STDs. So the bacteria introduced by the enema is still there. Personally if I reused an enema bottle I would sterilize it.. it really isn't that much trouble and it is worth it. I would also use distilled water for my enema because tap water usually has other things in it besides water.. such as chemicals, flouride, and chlorine... it is just as bad to kill of bacteria unnecessarily as it is to introduce foriegn bacteria, and chlorine can kill off good bacteria. It is a personal choice of course, and maybe it isn't necessary, perhaps I am paranoid,, but I do not like to drink water with chlorine in it, why stick it up there? ...smiles.

Fast reply... Im not an enema expert but I am an RN. My advice: Pre-filled enema bottles are not meant to be re-used. I would advise against re-using them. It is possible that just as plastic leeches into re-used drinking water bottles, especially when exposed to heat, it could leech into your enema bottle as well. Then again, you are not going to be retaining the water for that long, so the odds of absorbing much of either the chlorine or the leeched plastic is pretty low. (By the way if you are concerned about chlorine I would recommend using organic tampons. I love them. They are made of unbleached cotton, no chemicals... http://www.organicconsumers.org/bodycare/tampons090704.cfm ) You can purchase a durable enema bag and use it repeatedly. Personally, I think the use of an old-school bag as opposed to a disposable bottle adds a nice aesthetic. There is no reason to sterilize something that is going to be entering your digestive tract from that end, unless you are sharing the bag with someone else. If it makes you feel better, go ahead and boil it, but a good cleansing with soap and water is sufficient for taking care of an enema bag that is for personal use. Anything harmful that is introduced after the enema will not be dissuaded by the fact that you used sterile water. There are lots of different kinds of enemas you can use. A typical cleansing enema contains soap suds and tap water and is done "until clear". It doesnt have to be distilled or sterile water...this is your lower GI tract we are talking about, it's already contaminated. Save the Fiji water for after play :-). If you search online you can find lots of recipes for fun enemas that have been used not only by kinksters, but in personal care and nursing/medicine for a long long time. Milk and molasses anyone?

I will continue to use my way, but thanks for the advice, and I do agree about a reusable bag. I have had vaginal infections from rougher sex when I was much younger, and introducing bacteria that isn't normally found in the digestive tract sounds risky to me, not to mention the growth of bacteria that can occur to the nozzle of the bag... but then again I am kinda cautious.

Julia, Im just now getting that your concern is not the introduction of bacteria into the rectum but transfer from the rectum to the vagina. That is a worthwhile concern and I certainly respect any personal cleansing rituals or preferences you may have. I would like to clarify, however that sterile water will not kill anything that is left in the rectum after an enema. It does not kill bacteria or viruses. With regard to growth in the apparatus, soap, water and friction kills bacteria found in feces. That is why hand-washing is the most effective means in prevention of the spread of disease. There is no reason why sterilizing equipment would be a bad idea.

To clean a surface or insert able item...try making a mix of bleach and water in a spray bottle. One ounce of bleach to ten ounces of water is standard hospital usage. This kills everything. Then rinse off the item in regular water. Be careful...it will ruin the color of clothing. I really prefer the old hanging bag and modify the douche nozzle by drilling thru the end of it for better flow. Warm water is best...but to 'lock up' someones insides or make them uncomfortable...use very cold water. I have never used cold water so I don't know if it's true. One friend uses warmed olive oil before anal play with her sub. She reuses the commercial bottles for this. J
