Police absolutely have the right to chase anyone with an active warrant that tries to flee an arrest attempt. Public safety often demands it. I don't like pinning blame on a victim, especially when they're dead. But it makes absolutely no sense to me why he would try to run from the officer in the first place. That escalated what should have been a routine traffic stop and arrest. Regardless, shooting an unarmed man in the back is murder by any standards.

Leathal force must be the absolute last choice considered. The cop made no attempt to do otherwise from what I see. I see nothing that shows the cop or anyone else was in mortal danger because of the victim. The cop stood in place, and fired multiple gunshots into the victim, acting as judge, jury, and executioner.
