There are no studies from the right or the left that suggest that immigration has any influence on wages except micro-economically at the lowest levels pay and employment which should be higher no matter how many are looking for work.

Slaves had jobs, didn't do them much good.

No drug use let alone heroin use is anywhere significant enough to render ineffective any single policy change needed to address inequality.

The US govt. is not seizing property or wealth at all. That's figment of far too many peoples' imagination. Taxes on corporations and the top brackets, continue to be at or about a 60 year low.

Thats also a long way from realistic, the claim that the government doesnt seize property / wealth

Its called the tax code, the IRS

Obamas goon squad

No, actually, that would be Lincoln.

Its terrible that you have such a pathetic knowledge of history, yet run your yap like you actually have some intellect.

Illegal immigration/legal immigration is a drop in the bucket compared to all the jobs that your beloved American corps have outsourced to China, India, etc etc.. That is the REAL issue.. those are jobs and wages lost forever and that money will never circulate (& create more jobs) in the local/US economy (unlike those immigrants here that spend money on food, gas, vehicles, rent, homes, tools, supplies, clothes etc here).. I know a (legal) Mexican 20+year immigrant that buys clothes & stuff here to send to her relatives in Mexico cuz the stuff she can get here costs less and is better quality than what you can buy in Mexico..

If you dont want to pay tax here then why dont you leave?.. go find a country that doesnt tax you in some form.. pretty hard to find one worth going to, I'd say.. but maybe you wouldnt mind living in UAE or Saudi Arabia..

If you want others to provide you with everything you need, why don't you move to Cuba

There are other things that can help

Teach children to pay attention in school, dont do heroine... Avoid the thug life as glamorized in the media, and work their tails off

Government seizing peoples' property / wealth doesnt help, it just makes everyone poor as seen in the USSR, Cuba, China etc etc etc

You do understand that the United States of America runs under several different types of economic schools of thought? In some areas capitalism is run, in others, socialism. Yes, even communism is at work. Much of the US marketplace is regulated capitalism. The marketplace is handled by our form of government. In different areas the government handles in several different ways. We have as a whole a Democratic Republic, while many corporations are based on the feudal system. Sole proprietors is just a fancy and nice word for a dictatorship!

Other though, prefer more balanced sources for news and information

To each their own

Oh I agree and the trouble is, nobody can find any on the right or any that support the right's policy prescriptions.

Gees, joe, are you going to spew too. Okay, provide links. I have. Otherwise, I already know what you think you know. It's spewed all over the rag main stream media.

You two follow conservative talking points without an ounce of deviation from the course those in the power demand. If they tell you to suck their cock, you'll kneel in an instance and worship happily.

So don't give us the bullshit....

HunterCA -> RE: Income Inequality is costing the US on Social Issues (4/30/2015 1:37:25 PM)

Most leftists don't realize Kennedy thought much the same about economics as did Reagan.

The 1975–1985 period was an era of great debate about the impact of supply-side policies. The supply siders highlighted the positive evidence from two earlier major tax cuts—the Coolidge-Mellon cuts of the 1920s and the Kennedy tax cut of the 1960s. Between 1921 and 1926, three major tax cuts reduced the top marginal rate from 73 percent to 25 percent. The Kennedy tax cut reduced rates across the board, and the top marginal rate was sliced from 91 percent to 70 percent. Both of these tax cuts were followed by strong growth and increasing prosperity. In contrast, the huge Hoover tax increase of 1932—the top rate was increased from 25 percent to 63 percent in one year—helped keep the economy depressed. As the economy grew slowly in the 1970s and the unemployment rate rose, supply-side economists argued that these conditions were the result of high tax rates due to high inflation.

Nothing could be further from the truth. Kennedy stimulated our economy across a very wide front.

Reagan was only concerned with Defense.

Kennedy tried to cut taxes across the board. 'Republicans' rejected it. It didnt pass until LBJ.

Reagan was only concerned with the highest rates.

Kennedy was still in the Tariff era, and wanted to open reciprocal trade.

Reagan was a full out free market communist. And the largest move to unfettered military-industrial complex, and monopolization and amoral corporatism took place under Reagan.

It's kinda pinkish because it's from NPR but here.

http://www.npr.org/2013/11/12/244772593/jfks-lasting-economic-legacy-lower-tax-rates

Congress approved the tax cuts three months after Kennedy was assinated jester. You spin it, as always, as if Republicans refused to deal with Kennedy.

mnottertail -> RE: Income Inequality is costing the US on Social Issues (4/30/2015 2:07:53 PM)

There aint no spin. It is as I said. Try not to spew geyers of stupidity like that while at the same time providing credible citations that I am right.

It makes you look fucking stupider, people can see you here.

http://economix.blogs.nytimes.com/2014/02/04/how-l-b-j-pushed-through-kennedys-tax-cut/?_r=0

when 'republicans' became free market communists (after wwII) they were the tax and spend crowd, now they are the borrow and spend crowd.

They are either for or against this stuff before they are for or against it.

They havent always been that way. Once there were republicans, and conservatives, now there are neither.
