I've got thousands of rounds of a munitions and plenty of guns to shoot them. I'm pretty familiar with the ammo market and I'd say that most of the ammo hoarding going on is due to market forces. I saw the same thing during the Clinton administration. I'm not hoarding. I just like to have on hand that which I want to shoot when I wantbto shoot it. Much of the ammo I have on hand I reloaded myself for specific purposes. I don't see your point, actually, I find it pretty paranoid and conspiratorial. Perhaps you can enlighten me on that as well.

Thousands sounds like a lot, but I don't think people realize how easy it is to burn a few hundred rounds if you're out shooting. The stuff goes fast, and it ain't cheap.

K.

Especially when you load it yourself from a blank brass case. So the concept of hoarding in his mind is so ridicules it's childish and stupid. But ill let him spout nonsense.

Ah, so you're saying you have this all figured out, that doubt in science, which most of my Phd friends with science degrees feel is reasonable, is a conspiracy theory by people who don't believe as you?

I don't know these Phd friends of yours are but I've had a lady with a Phd in chemistry talk my ear off about the roswell alien coverup, so maybe you aren't misunderstanding them. I suppose they could be nutters, it does happen sometimes [sm=dunno.gif]

Because rejecting science on account of paranoid delusions of nefarious agency is many things but reasonable is so not one of them.

There are also growing indications that rejection of science is suffused by conspiracist ideation, that is the general tendency to endorse conspiracy theories including the specific beliefs that inconvenient scientific findings constitute a “hoax.”

Unfortunately science has been filled with Hoaxes. The Berringer Fossils, comes to mind as well as others like the Spaghetti Tree. So it is not that surprising that a number of people think: "Fool me once. . ."

But let's face it, nutters and their conspiracy theories can be some of the most fun people to talk to. [:D]
