Multiple dominant ladies who I have contacted here after a brief discussion of interests immediately ask me to join a BDSM or other fetish-oriented dating site. Presumably they get a commission.

Has anyone actually followed through with this request? Did the domme truly follow through or once you joined did they disappear?

I've sometimes asked for validation of an individual and am successful about 1 in 10 times...but I've never joined a site simply because a domme asked me to mostly because I struggle to trust that I won't get ripped off.

Other than the infamous Mystress World, I don't think it has happened to me, but, if it did, I would have a REPORT, HIDE & BLOCK on that profile so fast that I wouldn't have given it more than a tenth of a second of my time.

You do realize that when that happens (someone asks you to join a web site), that the "domme" is a guy, right?
It's the guy who runs the company that owns the web site. Or a shill for that guy.

The chances of it being a "real" domme is just about zero.
I guess it could be a gal running the company - but it's almost always a guy (whenever you're scammed).

I don't know why it's always guys. Think about all the big cases of spammers getting caught. It's never women.

Anyway, the minute you see that kind of stuff, you REPORT, BLOCK and HIDE.
And then you move on.

I am very new, almost certainly fairly naive, and I have stumbled into this a couple times too. I was maybe - okay, definitely - a little slow to catch on. It's nice to find confirmation that this is a real "thing".

I was contacted by "Mystress World" too. What makes her/it "infamous"?

If you already talking to someone here, there is no need for them to move your discussion to another web site except that it will in some way make them money.

Notorious or controversial might have been a more apt descriptor.

I don't know of a single lifestyle Domme who is the slightest bit interested in finding a "pre-trained" (brainwashed) male sub from this or any other FemDom outfit along the lines of obedience training school.

It's hard enough as it is to deprogram a sub from his previous conditioning and break him of his bad habits, particularly slaves who are used to only certain types of Mistresses (e.g. chastity slave addicted to his device, needing another Keyholder), and/or other forms of damaged goods.

I totally agree. There are a number of free options for exchanging messages with anyone you "meet" here, If they ask you to go sign up at some other website because that is the only place where they will chat, you can bet it will end up costing you money in some way. Many of these websites will be "free" to sign up, but charge you money to exchange messages with someone, or they will want your credit card number to "prove you are over 18", but then will will share your credit card info with other scam sites, creating a lot of havoc for you and your bank to get it all straightened out, often without getting your money back.

If you decide to follow one of these "ladies" to another site, you best proceed with caution.

Come on, crumpets. There's absolutely no way of knowing that. Sure, it's established as a pretty good bet that if a 'femdom' demands that you meet 'her' on another site, some hearty pocket-emptying is his/her aim - but we have no idea if the con-artist in question is a woman or a man.

Dreamlady did a good job of explaining the results, so, I'll just reaffirm that you're not going anywhere with MystressWorld without paying through the nose.

She is probably a she, and, she apparently has a bevy of other she's as cohorts - but - you can rest assured she runs a business - and you are the one feeding her the money.

Oddly, some actually enjoy paying money for their kinky gratification. So, if that's your thing, all the more happiness for you.

True. We only know things, in general.
We know money is involved.
Once money is involved, gender, as you say, isn't necessarily a given.
What is a given is that anyone who claims to be a domme, yet you won't talk to you until you go to another web site, we can rest assured that someone is making money off of you as they reel you in, Nigerian style, until you either quit and cut your losses, or they bleed you dry.

About 10 years ago, when I was relatively new to the BDSM world, I received numerous emails form a Female Domme. She asked me to join some membership website. I can't remember the name of the site. Anyway, as soon as I joined, I was required to buy her a gift and upgrade my membership. Considering I wasn't into financial domination, I thought it was very cheeky. There were a network of other dommes looking for cash slaves. As soon as I declined her request, they automatically banned me from the site. Just as well. I thought about complaining, but then again, a majority of Dommes on here are looing to take someone's money!

Used tinyeye on your avatar art and it looks like you did not create it or own it, and the original creator's info is stripped from the bottom. That's not very honest, either.

Collarme took down my avatar (also, art) because of copyright and I had to bother my good friend Sardax, who created that avatar specifically for my use, and have him announce on Twitter that I did, in fact, own the rights to it.

Honesty goes all ways. Try it on for size.

In saying that, a malesub will know what would turn him on about a 'femdom's' profile. I certainly do. I've sometimes thought, 'By god, the money I could rake in as an "online only femdom". Especially with a female accomplice.

Any Domme worth her salt will never ask you to join a BDSM site. If she is truly interested in you she will ask question to determine if there is possible chemistry between the 2 of you.

Fast Reply:

This thread shouldn't become a findom bashing or discussion on findoms, etc. We have enough of those and could do with far less.

Please address the question in the op rather than go in this direction.

Thank you

Ah, with a female accomplice, you can reel in almost anyone dumb enough (or needy enough) to pay for their kink, I agree!

Responding to that in agreement, I noticed that the Google Exec who recently died of a heroin overdose provided by the fetish model Alix Tichelman, had met up with her on a "Sugar Daddy" web site where the quid pro quo is as obvious as day and night.

1. Men who have money, but who need (in this case, kinky) sex, meeting up with ...
2. Women who provide (in this case, kinky) sex for money.

It's the oldest bargain in history, and we evolved from the start (as did all primates) with that equation embedded in our DNA - so - why would any of us find it surprising that the OP has encountered an online "Domme" who wants him to join a forum so that they can continue the oldest bargain, under their own terms (and not those of collarspace, which is free).

BTW, I just posted this in a thread titled "Yahoo IM?", which posits yet another reason someone might want you to join a web page outside of collarspace...
quote:

Besides the obvious scam situation, which already was discussed, one problem with almost anything "Yahoo" is the blantant disregard for your privacy in reporting of your IP address to anyone who looks.

I haven't checked in a while, but, it used to be that Yahoo put your IP address in the clear in all your communications, so that the company or library or home that you were sitting at was as plain as day to the recipient.

So, yet another reason could be that LE and scammers alike might want to move you to any site that will report your originating IP address is to start the process of identifying you and/or tagging your communications.

Notice in light of the huge (4-million!) personal accounts reported phished and published from Adult Friend Finder this week, that every web site "owns" a lot of privacy information about you.

So, for example, if I wanted to know more about you, I'd get you to a location where I could gather more data about you, which is easy if it was a web site that I control. I'd know EVERYWHERE you've been, and whom you speak to and what you say.(4-million!) personal accounts reported phished and publishe

The guys begging to pay for it are in the minority. Let's be honest on here; female domination over a male is really a male fantasy. This also includes
male fetishes as well. Most women aren't sexually stimulated by all this. Instead, they are more motivated by the financial gain and gifts they receive in return.
I'm not knocking women, it's the cold truth. Supply and demand.
