As for the whole post that induced the "heat stroke" replies...it ties into the "Paint My house" quote. On the surface the work in the sun nude et al does appear to be foolish and downright dangerous. I suppose such remarks must always be followed by the standard Disclaimer of safety and precautions. However, reading it with the mindset of safe, sane and consentual practices, I thought it was clever. I have had several of My subs do very similar things. Feel free to call me a weirdo, but I don't serve my Mistress in that way. We have an amazing dynamic going but never in that way. I truly have the need to submit to her and please her in anyway she requires, just not in that way. We don't have sex, we get that from others in our lives. It is about the whole scene to me and not the saucy squidgy bits. That type of thing may come into the relationship later, just not for now.

There are two great books that I "use" when I train by "Miss Abernathy". The Sex Slave is one of the categories you can train for but as the author of the books states, that is really a very limited role because when there's no sex going on, you aren't being useful and (in my opinion) you aren't being much of a slave. The books recommend that anyone thinking they want to be "just a sex slave" needs to invest in other skills and services so they will be more attractive and have a greater chance of finding a partner. Or to paraphrase Fox on this issue: Anyone who thinks that being a slave just do this or that is full of crap. Slaves have to be anything and everything an owner wants or her timetable. It isn't always fun, it isn't always sexy, it certainly isn't easy or mindless, but if it is the right path for you, it is always worth it.

I think I have found the words to explain this better. The Domme should be aware of the submissive's personal "wish list". That way she can surprise him for service well done, but at her desire, not his. You always have to keep in mind the nature of the beast. And of course you really need to be on the same page to begin with! I my case, it’s more of a joy for me AND my slave if I surprise him on occasion with one of his fantasies instead of him keeping a ticker of “I did this and this and this so she should give me this and that and that”. I decide what and when. Does this help explain things a bit better?

Well if you're going to be a "specialty" slave you damned well better be specialized, educated, willing, able and above all capable of performing everything in that specialty.
