Again not the point... it is just not him that has been radicalized... it is many thousands perhaps hundreds of thousands in the totality of the US. Do you think it will help to address his transgressions and ignore all the rest? He is not the problem alone.

Butch

Right. So when the police have him cornered, they should have you go in and give him a hug.

You can really be informed on the happenings in America and say that? I can't. It is not only blacks... but it is the poor and division of wealth... it is the radicalism of politics to the point where nothing of substance is done in our government.. Oh yes we are sick Bama.. in more ways than one....and not just GUNS.

Butch

Why not?... it would be better though to get him a job where he can support himself and his family... get him an education... give him the same access to the American way that conservatives keep saying we can all have if we just work hard enough. Otherwise it may be better to show him he is wrong in his thinking and give him a chance... cheaper than me and you paying for incarceration don't you think?

Butch

JVoV -> RE: Free Speech (5/26/2015 1:13:39 PM)

In the OP, Aylee's quote identified him as a college student.

Seems like he's already getting an education?

kdsub -> RE: Free Speech (5/26/2015 1:35:19 PM)

Should I start posting links to the iniquity of education of African Americans in America in general? Again you are still missing the point. This man represents many thousands of people and their feelings of life in America... We need to address this attitude. Arrest him ...incarcerate him... but what good will that do the change the perceptions of African Americans in this country. I say do both.

Butch

So thousands of AA's want to kill all the white people? Including babies, gays, and the disabled? Good luck with that.

To paraphrase Custer:

"F&^%! Where did all them Honkies come from?"

kdsub -> RE: Free Speech (5/26/2015 1:51:55 PM)

Thousands are furious yes...and we had better do something about it.

I don't blame them. They haven't been treated like men and women for a long time. Including the last fifty or sixty years of being used as a victim class to push political ends.

MrRodgers -> RE: Free Speech (5/26/2015 3:25:29 PM)

I am with Alyee here. He is both offensive (not addressable) and dangerous...actionable now, with very probable cause.

He should picked up for 'questioning.' He hasn't committed a crime yet but this is another who at anytime...could act on these threats.

Its probably where he learned his social skills

So. . . calling for all white people's deaths, carrying a gun into a "gun free" zone, evading police, threatening any police that come after him. . . that is all okay?

His parents have even called for him to peacefully surrender himself.

It is not that he is offensive. He is dangerous.

But ... but ... but ... Gun free zones are the perfect way to protect our children, while in school!

At best he has already comitted Assault (legal stuff for not hitting anyone yet - that would be battery). How many counts? Depends on how many people fit the statement made.

Will it be prosecuted as a hate crime? Not even if he attempts to carry out the assault in any manner. That would be considered a hate crime by rev al et all and there would be riots in the streets.

If he went to court and was convicted would he go to jail? Maybe, probably not. If he went to jail he would run into others who would protect the flag and then there are the "white" gangs in there. Doubt he would survive long without being in the infermery.

The above is my 2 cents.

[image][/image] OK someone is gonna have to teach me how to post the pic of my 2 cent coin LOL

At best the guy has spoken word of a threatening manner and nothing more. There are plenty of people that have spoken such words in fits of anger. That their anger originates from many sources. None of them have been locked up. If we start locking up thought who make threatening statements, 25 million conservatives would be in jail right now! Clive Bundy and his followers come to mind as a great example. An those miners in the southwest of Oregan as well. We have the KKK, The Order, and even some local NRA chapters that have stated things that could be taken as threatening.

How about all the pseudo-Christians whom make threats to gays, lesbians, bisexuals and transgender? They make plenty of statements during each year for twenty years now. Everything from discriminating them is 'OK', to killing them. Not once seen any conservatives that feel this behavior is wrong. Might be why people are leaving the religion....

How about hate crimes charged to these people?

So some guy who is dark skin walked on the American flag, then goes on a tirade of threats; should get charged not just with Assault but any and all hate crimes. Yes, according to the white conservative and libertarian population we should punish just the non-whites when they over-step the rules; we should 'not' have liberty and law apply across the board....

Actually, Joether...if you weren't so caught up in your rant, you'd realize that's what the conservatives are saying: IF there's going to be such a thing as hate crimes...And I gave you the views of a law professor in another post on this subject in the gate crimes tbtrads...then apply them equally across the board. And that includes Butch's poor, disenfranchised blacks...ESPECIALLY a poor black COLLEGE student.

Butch

you and I disagree on literally every thing but here I am 100% on the same page.

It shoudl be a requirement that every american before the age of 30 be given something as simple as a traffic ticket with the caveat that they win they get nothing but a win, and they lose they pay 10 thousand bucks to the state. Needless to say they will put serious effort into winning and most who put in a great effort will have what should be slam dunk dismissals...HOWEVER.... the amount of 'actual' dismissals will be just the opposite ratio causing most to pay. The reason is because how incredibly corrupt the judicial system is in every aspect of government. (one gargantuan extortion racket....RICO operation) Its commonly known to attorneys and especially so to anyone who has legal experience and contested charges they never should have gotten in the first place, only to be forced into its cheaper to cop a plea or just outright pay the fine.

I believe that is the only thing that could possibly wake people up to the realities of what america is all about and why we went from the worlds heros to the international laughing stock we are today.

This kid from what I read was severely abused by the system and what he is really saying is that he is willing to defend himself against the impending threat he is faced with. That is how HE see it despite we can put any societal tabu label we want on it.

There is an old saying that when the the courts no longer serve the people the only thing left is the cartridge. Seems there are plenty of americans who have experienced the system first hand and are at that point.

From what I can see america is sitting on an ever growing powder keg and like you said the kid speaks for many about the injustices inflicted upon the people through the ever growing corruption. I made a thread called Bernhoft, a superb attorney who explains the problems we are faced with in the land of the 'free'.
