I just want to know how long she thought about digging a hidey hole to evade the cops for a miscellaneous crime BEFORE she actually committed one (or this one...). That sounds like some wacky nonsense she's milled over before.

I don't know WHAT my self-preservation instincts would be if I was insanely in this situation, but digging a false grave doesn't sound like the first thing that would pop into my head, no matter how irrational my thought process would be at the time. Partly because it actually sounds like a good idea if the hose is hidden properly... it's stupidly clever.

I'm sleepily over analyzing the wrong part of this story at the moment, I know.
