Yes, the strategy is a mine field for Obama after spending six and a half years blaming things on Bush. He may have to actually take sponsibility for a foreign policy.

It seems to me to be such a tightrope in the USA, Hunter. On the one hand there's the massively emotional and powerful "Don't be a coward, let's fight, American interests are at stake!". On the other hand there's the equally massively emotional and powerful "You're going to risk the lives of young Americans in yet another foreign war in a country that nobody here cares about and most of us have never even heard of?
You evil asshole!"

Where have you been living? In a cave, under a blanket, for the last seven years?

The President has been very responsible on the stuff he's fucked up on during his administration. And he has had to deal with all the stupid shit left to him by the Republicans. Did you blame the Republicans for the fuck ups?

No of course not.....

Actually the immigration policy of the President is defined by a number of presidential privileges. But those are simply band aids when a full 'top to bottom' reform is needed. Right now that would be the party in control of Congress: The Republican/Tea Party.

Funny how not one single conservatives nor libertarian is bitching about it? Your political party has been controlling Congress for the last six months. They have accomplished...NOTHING....of use on this or other issues. Yet, the expected outrage among conservatives and libertarians is so quiet, I could drop a pin in the room, and be blown over by the shock wave from a hundred miles away!

So many you should start bitching at that GOP/TP controlled Congress, instead of blaming the dude whom has been keeping the process from bursting into total anarchy....

Thats the narrative some on the left try to push, anyway. The reality is that we are already engaged, but only halfheartedly.

The question is, why arent we in it to win.

And its naivety on your part to cast this as a USA against them thing

Its not just our soldiers, as you try to suggest

Much of the world has an interest in this. We have many allies, and we could put together a massive coalition if we had a president who knew how to lead

I will rephrase the questions. Why is Obama playing footsy with ISIS. Why doesnt Hillary address the issue from the campaign trail.

Why did Bush give rise to the conditions that allowed IS to grow in Iraq ?

Why did Obama snatch defeat out of the jaws of victory

Barack Obama:

quote:

'We're Leaving Behind a Sovereign, Stable and Self-Reliant Iraq'

http://www.whitehouse.gov/the-press-office/2011/12/14/remarks-president-and-first-lady-end-war-iraq

Joe Biden:

quote:

“I am very optimistic about Iraq. I think it’s gonna be one of the great achievements of this administration. You’re gonna see 90,000 American troops come marchin’ home by the end of the summer. You’re gonna see a stable government in Iraq that is actually movin’ toward a representative government. I’ve been there 17 times now. I go about every two months, three months. I know every one of the major players in all the segments of that society. It’s impressed me. I’ve been impressed, how they have been deciding to use the political process, rather than guns, to settle their differences.”

Then Joe rode off on a unicorn down a road made of rainbows.

Actually, Bush's surge spent American blood and riches to completely defeat the Sunni islamisist in Iraq. They were out of the country and as Barack and Joe said, it was a stable country. It was Obama's and Hillary's Arab spring that let them back in through Syria. The red line you may remember. It was a choice this administration made.

You are confused

Not what you think it means

I wrote sarcastically that "All liberals have ever wanted is for the U.S. to continue on in its role as world cop"

Very clearly, I was referring to "liberals" and their beliefs in a sarcastic tone

I even ended the post with a "/sarcasm"

Well there you go. He doesn't read posts or threads. He just likes to insult people. No sense in trying to point out his misunderstandings.

Politesub53 -> RE: ISIS Does Affect Us Here (6/17/2015 4:45:48 PM)

You can believe your own Bullshit hunter but history will still show you to be ill informed. Your post shows you have no fucking clue who is running the insurgency or how it got started. The sad part is that you are too lazy/stupid/ignorant to actually research the matter.

ISIS grew inside the prison system were Bush Chenney Et al were throwing just about any Sunni the could find. Firstly they bombed shit out of Iraqs infostructure, then add to this Bremmer dismantling the civil service/police force et etc and handing control to the Shia, and there you have it.... A cess pit waiting to boil over.

Really, troll, you only remember back one administration or just to the deranged blame Bush years. I seam to remember a car bomb that blew up our marine barracks in...what was it...1983 or so. A World Trade
Center bomb under Clinton. Samalia under Clinton. I could go on, but you won't read it. You'll just see I esponded to you and type a knee jerk insult. I think henceforth I'll just respond to you with imaginary language so I can see your normal response and laugh. You are funny.
