Your dominant may not want you to make any noise. But that's not applicable to everyone else. The Man wants to hear me. Now, if you can't safeword or tell him that you have a cramp and need a tie changed because you're gagged, there are plenty of ways to indicate distress. Hold something that makes noise in your hand like a dog toy with a bell inside and squeeze it if you have a problem. Grunt three times. Kick out or move around if you usually don't would also indicate something unusual at which point your partner ought to stop and check in with you. Of course, if your partner knows your normal body language, then they ought to be able to tell when there's a change. Usually I'm relaxed and I like touching him and him touching me. If my body is rigid, if I try to pull away from him, then he immediately knows he's hit an emotional trigger.
