Politesub53 -> Man not guilty of London beheading. (6/23/2015 4:02:24 PM)

If anyone recall last years incident where a poor woman was murdered. The guy was found not guilty by reason of insanity.

I got a lot of stick for stating something everyone in the UK quickly knew. That it wasnt an attack motivated by terrorism and that the killer was insane.

He was obviously totally, utterly and completely off his trolley.

Frankly, I think that if there was a way of seeing this man as evil rather than insane, the jury would have found it.

The video, or at least the part they saw fit enough to be seen on the news, was quite clear. The evidence in court as horrific.

Hopefully he wont get out, as I dont see how he wont be a danger to the public in the years ahead.

Well, whatever else is true about psychology - that hotly disputed science - it does seem fairly clear that really old people tend to have lost whatever fuckup they had in their head when they were young. Maybe they just don't have the psychic energy that they had in their youth any more. Whatever. I'll be happy to see this man out of circulation till he's too feeble to do anything else to anyone else, however long that takes.

So you believe that there are sane murderers? I don't.

This reminds me of a story
The jury came back with a verdict of not guilty by reason of insanity.
And the judge said "all 12 of you"

That was a strange comment to make...........I wonder where THAT came from ? Way out in left field I think

HunterCA -> RE: Man not guilty of London beheading. (6/24/2015 10:15:33 PM)

Well then isn't it kinda stupid to bring it up?

Dvr22999874 -> RE: Man not guilty of London beheading. (6/24/2015 10:22:25 PM)

maybe..........but then I never professed to be the sharpest tool in the box hunter; unlike your god-self.

I do believe there are.. at the very least the ones that are psychopaths.. they are sane, they just dont care about those they kill.. Do you think those in gangs or mafia are insane when they kill a rival gang member or someone for money.. those seem quite sane too..

kdsub -> RE: Man not guilty of London beheading. (6/25/2015 9:50:59 AM)

I believe there is a study... don't ask for a link just using memory here... that people without a conscience have a part of the brain that is abnormal. This would make them by the very definition of sanity...insane. In order to be, and the reason for, a psychopath is a lack of conscience.

Actually, you bring up an interesting point in my mind. I've seen both video and print of ISIS taking little boys and having them shoot Christians in the head to train them in the ISIS way. If that's the societal path/norm, is that insane? The same, to a somewhat smaller extent with gangs.

Why all the fuss

Blame the knife and let the poor man go

(Make sure he doesnt have any flags in his possession first)

kdsub -> RE: Man not guilty of London beheading. (6/25/2015 10:11:55 AM)

Thanks Hunter... I have overlooked your point... Hmmmmm... I must admit this is shoots my theory down a bit. But I still see no excuse for murder insane or not.

My question really was a question. Is ISIS/gang culture really training a normal child or a sociopath? I don't know. Expand that to...say...a society that owns humans as slaves. Is a child raised in that culture normal or evil? If the answer is no it's sociopathic to raise a child immune to horror of murder or slavery, then is the leftist theory that all moral systems are equal valid?

kdsub -> RE: Man not guilty of London beheading. (6/25/2015 10:27:45 AM)

Not so sure where you get that it is a left view that all moral systems are equal. As far as that goes I see more conservatives than liberals that believe we have no business in the affairs of other governments... Which in effect is approving those governments treatments of their citizens.

It is normal.......within an insane culture.

Moral relativism is what the progressives use against you every day. They say who are you to foist your moral code on me?

http://www.allaboutphilosophy.org/moral-relativism.htm

quote:

Moral Relativism – What is it?

Moral relativism is the view that moral or ethical statements, which vary from person to person, are all equally valid and no one’s opinion of “right and wrong” is really better than any other. Moral relativism is a broader, more personally applied form of other types of relativistic thinking, such as cultural relativism. These are all based on the idea that there is no ultimate standard of good or evil, so every judgment about right and wrong is purely a product of a person’s preferences and environment. There is no ultimate standard of morality, according to moral relativism, and no statement or position can be considered absolutely “right or wrong,” “best or worst.”
