Yes, I agree, an arsonist attacking a church may hate blacks. they may hate whites, they may hate Christians , and they may think it would make a really pretty fire. Don't FDs always investigate for possible arson? And any time it is something like a church hate crimes must always be suspected.

You could still be right, the kind of people who do that sort of thing don't include a lot of Rhodes scholars.
