That's exactly the point, WaywardSoul, I thought of myself wanting or needing to be tamed, broken in or some such. Nobody was ever willing or able to do that - I tried to instruct people how to best subdue me, to no avail. I gave them a whip that was actually capable of hurting me (so to speak) and no results. Now when my master just frowns at me I hurry to find out how I might have caused him any kind of displeasure.

The definition of a definition is that a definition is the definition of the definition. Being dominant doesn't make you smart or educated or wise for that matter. Being submissive does not make you stupid either. I do, however, have an idea that some people claim their dominance as a way of getting away with their lack of character or willingness to work.

Even science may define a term in a unique fashion specific to a particular hypothesis or experiment (which is analogous to a personal - read unique- definition). Definitions do not have to be universally shared, they must simply be universally understandable... and if you define a term in a unique way, for a unique circumstance, and in a way that is comprehensible to anyone... you are still in the realm of science.
