Ken the Catholic church and the ability to be married in one is not open to the general public... it is a different deal.

Butch

If they refuse to marry gays then what is to stop them from throwing gays off the roof, they are still discriminating because of their religion.

Just fucking incredible. I can understand Religious folk not accepting having to marry a gay couple, but that in no way equates to throwing them off the roof.

I could answer that for you, but I get in enough trouble as it is..... [;)]

Lucylastic -> RE: Religious Rights Not "Good Enough" to Refuse Service (7/28/2015 4:51:06 PM)

really fucking stupid....oh and ignorant

Moderator3 -> RE: Religious Rights Not "Good Enough" to Refuse Service (7/28/2015 4:55:41 PM)

So this thread, like the others I closed, is turning.

Well, I seem to be doing a lot of that today so it won't be a stretch for me. [:D]

Come on. Due to the fact that we recently had a thread like this and it was closed, it won't take much. I was trying to work with you all. I'm rather busy today and if I have to work with you all too much, we won't have another thread like this for a very long time. I'm not mad, just busy. Don't help the trouble makers eh?

Lucylastic -> RE: Religious Rights Not "Good Enough" to Refuse Service (7/28/2015 5:00:23 PM)

when they wont read the topic and then respond with utter BS Mod 3..
I have no patience, but..having seen some of the dipshits you have had to deal with today, Im gonna behave now.
sorry

yourcybersub -> RE: Religious Rights Not "Good Enough" to Refuse Service (7/28/2015 5:05:18 PM)

Sorry for pointing out that equating marriage with murder is a thread closer. It won't happen again, this site would work much better if those sort of comments were left alone and the people who complain about them get told of by moderators

Lucylastic -> RE: Religious Rights Not "Good Enough" to Refuse Service (7/28/2015 5:08:35 PM)

I thought it was a good comment myself yourcybersub, I think it was me that got the notice of the mods. But it was a knee jerk reaction of mine
and Im now behaving.

Moderator3 -> RE: Religious Rights Not "Good Enough" to Refuse Service (7/28/2015 5:12:49 PM)

LOL It isn't the comparison. It's just a turning and this has been a touchy subject previously. Apparently this is something you all wish to debate and I just want it to be debated without having to lock it down again. That was all mild, but I know how fast it can become 'flaming hot'.

Surely the whole point of calling it "feisty dialogue" [8D]

yourcybersub has it right, you cant equate not wishing to marry someone in church to murder.

Moderator3 -> RE: Religious Rights Not "Good Enough" to Refuse Service (7/28/2015 5:23:17 PM)

Clearly aptly named, but there is such a thing as too feisty. Sometimes you'll scare me! [:D]

yourcybersub -> RE: Religious Rights Not "Good Enough" to Refuse Service (7/28/2015 5:23:24 PM)

and BamaD's comment had sat there for 2 hours, if I'm reading it right without any censure. Moderator 3, please stop the original problem not the people who think such comments are scandalous

Look, I have been dealing with a number of things today and I didn't need to see the whole thread to know that something was coming down. I needed to rush in and now I am sorry I did, because I am here and having to stay. A number of set up attacks have taken place today on this forum because I removed some things that were very wrong. They were posted to make sure they were offensive, stirring things up and there is a lot more to watching, protecting and making sure bad things don't happen around here.

I was just reminding people of the fact that we lost a thread just like this and I was being nice to let this one stay so soon after those closings. Make me sorry and it won't take much for me to only go by the book.

Censure? I created the feisty sections. That is laughable. Now carry on and don't involve me, while I go get a cool drink and call all this good.

yourcybersub -> RE: Religious Rights Not "Good Enough" to Refuse Service (7/28/2015 5:42:21 PM)

err ok, out of my depth, sorry to trouble you, didn't realise BamaD's comment was off limits. I guess he's been here a while and can do the marriage/murder thing and not get in trouble

Moderator3 -> RE: Religious Rights Not "Good Enough" to Refuse Service (7/28/2015 5:43:46 PM)

You know, you push no matter what nick you're using. You might consider knocking it off.

yourcybersub -> RE: Religious Rights Not "Good Enough" to Refuse Service (7/28/2015 5:47:58 PM)

wow, ok. misguided attempt to get involved. carry on

I am using his argument against him, he has been telling me that somehow not cutting a woman's hair because of religious reasons leads to throwing gays off roof tops. I was throwing his stupidity back in his face.

No I wasn't Bama... try as you might to change what I said it will not work... You have been saying that religion has an absolute right to follow its beliefs..such as the baker not baking a cake for a gay... I was pointing out other religions beliefs and asking you if it is ok for your religious beliefs to be sacrosanct should not other religions beliefs also be sacrosanct? Thus the listed beliefs of throwing off buildings and stoning and mutilation... You did not answer but as usual tried to dodge the question.

Butch

Wrong, you extrapolated one to the other, repeatedly, and your friends pointed out how stupid that argument was.
I have repeatedly told you that something like a cake or a hair cut wasn't a critical need and to wouldn't harm someone simply go to another store.
