ORIGINAL: bounty44 cant see your post but nevertheless: in regards to Neville chamberlain returning from meeting with hitler and declaring "peace in our time"---euphemistically speaking, and now in retrospect, could it be rightly said that deal played a part in "delivering the jews to the ovens?" if that is true...and in a handful of years iran makes good on their promise to destroy Israel, where will all the Huckabee bashing be then? (put another way, what in the agreement helps to assuage the fear Israel has of iran attacking them?) if in a handful of years iran does not make good on their promise, then will it be because people wise up to the threat and actually do something about it, in which case, Huckabee is at worst, harmless, or at best, vindicated. Those saying that the repeated pledges by Iran to exterminate Israel to be just talk sound like the people who said the same thing about Hitler. in large part, my very point... and you would think that mature people with a sense of history might engage in that very conversation---as opposed to anything else they are doing. In even larger point, hysterical slobbering fantasy. Hitler never vowed to exterminate Iran or Israel. Iran became a country in 1935, and Israel in 1949 or so. So, its funny that it should remind you of anything so fucking stupid. Now, Bushes invasion under false pretenses sort of reminds me of Hitlers invasion of the Sudentenland under false pretenses, so Rightwingers remind me of Hitler..............but you see.............there is a causal connection there.
