He added that the officer is now on administrative leave. A small amount of marijuana was found in the front passenger's compartment in Hammond's car.

For mine, shooting to kill is a last resort and it appears from what we know of this case thus far that there were many other options available to cops that they declined to deploy instead electing to shoot to kill. A couple of joints that Zachary didn't even buy. The girl was the one police arrested and charged with simple posession. Aren't there real crimes that police should be dealing with?

There weren't riots after Walter Scott was killed by a cop in North Charleston. Nor after the church shootings.
