Are there many things you believe for which you have no validation?

Do you have validation that there are more men feeling trapped in a woman's body than there are pervs?

Oh come on. What percentage of the population are transsexuals? And what percentage of them are horny men? Figure it out and get back to me when the obvious becomes apparent to you.

Well bounty remember they said the same things about homosexuality... we just understand more. As to the new approaches it is too soon to know what will work and what will not so things are in flux.

Butch

I agree there's a sort of parallel between the two, and as such, those same questions could be raised about homosexuality too---albeit probably with even more likelihood of the "bigot" moniker being tossed about.

I don't know that we "understand more" as opposed to perhaps understanding differently.

It's sort of weird how this has worked. This wasn't even on anyone's radar as recently as 5 years ago.

It used to be that people took a bit of pride in being the iconoclast. Precisely because going against society's norms IS a difficult thing to do, and comes with a price attached. Now people don't even think it should be a struggle... they think it's up to society to adapt to THEM. And they're going to set out to punish you if you don't embrace everything about them.

The thing of it is, there isn't a single person on this website who doesn't fundamentally get this. None of us completely fits in to the vanilla world. So, we keep our kinks at home, or someplace where they're accepted, or we expect to get treated differently. That's the price we pay for being different. It's also the reward we get for having the courage to stand out, and to do the hard thing instead of the easy one. The thing is, if we make the hard thing easy, we steal that experience from ourselves.

I think we are understanding more... or at least believing it. By that I mean for a very long time many people believed homosexuality was a choice...a deviation of nature only followed by less moral people. Like I said this is now understood to be bullshit. The actual trigger in the brain or genetics is still not known but it is not a choice..at least that is becoming the popular belief...In my opinion.

Funny thing about the net. Not everything on it is true.

That would probably be the point where a persons intelligence might come into play deciphering out fact from fiction.

Still, what I've read says they are, in fact, 17. The net also says this person is not living at home... which means their parents aren't going to really have an understanding of their sexual identity. Which is going to make it that much more difficult for a physician to figure it out. It further says that up until the middle of the last school year, he was identifying as a gay male. Which is something very much different from a transgender person, and is pretty good evidence that they, themself, doesn't really have this all figured out just yet.

How is it that you have figured out without meeting the individual what they themselves .you calim they,do not know?

Transexuals are guys who dress up like girls to be with guys...I have always been under the impression that horny guys were interested in sex with women. Have you gone and changed things while I was in the can?

I'm pretty sure you're thinking of transvestites. Those are the guys who dress up like women. Transsexuals are the ones who physically try to become the opposite sex.

I looked it up on the internet. Just like you claimed you did.

If this person isn't actually in contact with their parents - as the internet says - how would the parent's know? Especially if this person was living as a gay male less than a year ago - as the internet says?

KenDckey -> RE: Transgender rights in rural Missouri (9/2/2015 5:53:20 PM)

I generally get the impressiion on this thread that boys that want to shit/piss/shower with girls and girls that want to shit/piss/shower with the guys should be allowed to. Doesn't matter what the other children/teens/parents want.

And as a woman they would be looking for men and not women to have sex with.
So how would they qualify as horney guys?

That depends whether they're actual transsexuals, or just using that as a pretense to sneak into the women's restroom.

Or do you really not believe that teenage boys don't try to find ways of getting into the girls locker room? I mean they made an entire series of movies about that... I assume you remember the "Porky's" trilogy?

My research on the net convinced me that it was none of my business. For that conclusion it was not necessary for me to meet the individual in question. You on the other hand have decided you know what this person is thinking. where previously you had stated .

"I don't think it's possible to truly know what's going on in an individual's head"

You have not indicated whether the internet sources you mention are valid or just a blogers opinion. It is illogical to assume that the parents would not have first hand intimate knowledge of their child.

Great. It's none of your business. Why are we having this discussion? And I don't have any idea what's going on in this individual's head. But I'm willing to admit that it might be: 'look at this cool new way I've found to see myself some boobies!'

I had a friend in High School who went around insisting he was a lesbian trapped in a man's body to anyone who would listen to him. Fortunately for the girls, this was 1988 and no one took him seriously. I had another friend who pretended to be pregnant - including going so far as to use home made prosthetics to try to get a guy back. Teenagers PLAY THESE GAMES. Hell, people on this website play these games.

My information comes from the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, not a blog LINK. Where does yours come from? There's nothing illogical in assuming that the parents' don't have first hand intimate knowledge of their child if the child themself doesn't really have a good grasp on their sexuality, which appears to be the case here.

Intelletual discourse. Abortion is none of my business in that I can't be pregnant. I can have an opinion but I think those with a vagina should decide what to do with it.

Thegunnysez -> RE: Transgender rights in rural Missouri (9/2/2015 7:22:16 PM)

Your link says that she stays over night sometimes at her g/f house but I did not see anything that said she was estranged from her parents.

It's right there in the same sentence where it says she stays overnight at her girlfriend's house... "while Lila's family tries to come to grips with their child identifying as transgender."

Trying to 'come to grips with their child identifying as transgender' means they don't have a good grip on Lila's sexuality. Let alone first hand intimate knowledge of it.

Assuming, of course, Lila actually is what they claim they are... and this isn't some massive prank that's spun horribly out of control.

I'm willing to admit I don't know - and maybe Lila really is a girl in a boy's body. Are you willing to admit you don't know, and accept that maybe he's a teenage boy who's doing this as a prank?

yeh the problem is that the schools are being expected to allow kids who are strangers to be in situations parents dont even allow their own family to be in at home!
