I know my post was vague. I wasnt at a munch, the person I was talking with organizes munches...so of course they know everything *eye roll*
When I say smartest dumb person, it means they think they know all but are dumb as shit. That might be an expression used down here mostly. Thats what we say when we encounter those types of people.

Not so fast. Due to allergens, we're boycotting peanut oil. Fossil fuels are a big no-no cuz global warming/impromptu ice age. And I'll have to protest any plant based oils that are GMO, made in the West Bank, and/or slut-shaming other oils by being labeled 'virgin' or 'extra virgin'.

Status: offline 		I've met a disproportionate amount of ego driven personalities on the scene. Saying that, I think the majority of munch runners do this simply because they are confident enough to run a happy gathering of like minded folk. A good munch organizer is giving something to the community whilst remaining friendly and welcoming.

I have met my share of aggressively defensive munch runners where the munch becomes about their own self importance rather than the gathering itself. Personally I think that people who feel the need to show authority, shouldn't be people running munches because this type of person has a tendency to use 'HIS' gathering as a platform for self promotion and anyone who bothers to turn up isn't seen as a contributor but HIS/HER audience.

Bearing in mind the Socratic idea that "The only true wisdom is in knowing you know nothing," one could argue that the very concept that they know it all and are not open to education clearly prevents them from being 'smart' at all.

But yeah, I know those folk.
(Chortles-read em on comments all the time, especially political type forums)
Sometimes they piss me off.
Usually, if I'm in a good mental spot, I try to take the next emotional step, ask myself why they need so badly to be right
And then feel pity for such insecure and uncertain people...as I vamanos away from their toxic selves as quickly as possible

Des: Thats pretty interesting. I had never noticed. I have a few WC books around here somewhere but never paid attention to how it was spelled. I think in this
instance I was just typing fast and didnt pay attention. There was probably something shiny near me or something.
