Hmm so why pick on planned parenthood.
You want to stop money going to one particular agency , why???
THey are performing as they have done for years, by providing ssexual and re productive health care and referrals to places for those they cant do themselves.
the ACA has helped many people, but there are still tens of millions between the cracks and lower, their health needs dont change because they dont have insurance.
There IS a need. to deny it is ridiculous.
I responded to the situation about medicaid expansion...and those states are suffering higher STD's, teen pregnancies, amongst those woes, because not giving them access to affordable health care doesnt mean they quit having issues.

WHile your opinion is yours, facts and reality (as well as more bullshit than you could ever clamber thru) can be found...educate your opinion Ken.

The ARC has a mission associated with the Military and in emergency housing etc. They are the only other not-for-profit that I am aware of that receives government funding except for contracted services like the ARC.

Those not covered under the ACA and should provide for themselves. Has nothing to do with whether or not they can afford it. It is the law. At least that is what I have been told by progressives for years. SCOTUS confirmed the ACA as legal. Before that, they were one of the few agencies that performed abortions and free healthcare. But it isn't about abortions and free healthcare. It is about government spending in my opinion.

It's all a matter of the wording in any law/budget. If Congress were to deny Planned Parenthood its Title X moneys, it would sting, but I think the organization would be ok.

If Congress tries to prevent all federal funding of PP, the language would likely include payments and reimbursements for services rendered under Medicaid and Obamacare, which would be a disaster all around.

JV Payments of appropriate medical treatment under ACA that are reimburseable would be appropriate assuming that they are covered under ACA. They should be receiving those funds now anyway. I don't know if they have a billing office or not, never dealt with that side only the donation side. but they could be funded that way and I don't have a problem with it, because it would be a legal expense. might even give them a profit except for the govt exclusion on abortions. The number of needed D&C's might increase tho.
