A man walks into a bar with a little dog. The bartender admonishes him, immediately.
The guy says: "No! You don't understand. This is a talking dog."
The bartender, of course, says: "Bullshit!"
The guy says: "I'll prove it, if you get everyone in here to pony up and buy me a shot."
So, the bartender spreads the word and nine shots appear on the bar.
The guy drinks three shots and says: "Fido, what's on top of a house?"
"Roof! Roof!"
The crowd murmurs and the bartender says: "This had better get a lot more convincing, pal."
The guy drinks three more shots and says: "Fido, what's the texture of sand paper?"
"Rough! Rough!"
The crowd is angry now and the bartender says: "You have one more chance, buddy."
The guy drinks the last three shots and says: "Okay, now, Fido. I need you to think. Who was the greatest baseball player that ever lived?"
"Ruth! Ruth!"
Everyone in the bar grabs the guy and proceeds to pummel him. They beat him bloody and throw him out into the alley.
The dog walks out, looks down at the guy, tilts his head and lifts his ears and says: "DiMaggio?"
