So you are not worried about a half foot of water?

I am recommending trust funds for all of the children. Not for education but to buy what will be new beach property in western Miami.

Manhattan looks promising too but that's for their children.

I live not far from the san andrais fault. when the western part finishes it's drive by I will have beach front property...the fly in the ointment is I will be at the top of a 6000' palasade.[:(]

Well the most unpredictable aspect to your new beach front potentialities is that they will require an earthquake and it will be done in a few hours or maybe one day. But I am sure investors will be all over it so hold on...you could make a buck.

That assumes a HUGE amount of things go 'your way'. An earthquake powerful enough to create that sort of damage will have MANY effects on your 'neck of the woods'. You might still be at 6000 feet, and you might watch yourself and everything around you plunge 5,500-7,000 feet down as the earth settles from the super-quake?

Helluva a gamble to get ocean front property.....

To me, art is a pleasure. I read of no art or pleasure in your OP. I do read the slight pain of a rambling rant.

Really? You Didn't Check Out the link called SOURCE 1?

So from now on, I suggest you begin your posts with a set of facts you believe to be facts while staying away from what's irrelevant, most of which you seem to insert it seems, in an attempt to obscure judgement.

Sorry, are you unable to think for yourself? You need someone to post the information because your little mind is unable to process information?

Try READING the OP. All those nice words that are BLUE are links to ADDITIONAL information. The effects of sea levels rising is well understood in science. All of it is factual.

I have a suggestion for you: From now on, engage that lump three feet above your ass for something useful on these boards!

According to you, Mr. 'Scientist', nothing bad will happen if the ocean levels are raised by 20 feet? And your evidence of this curious development is.....WHERE?

Little could be more wrong on this one. If you were anywhere near as observant as you profess to be, you'd know that I have consistently argued here at CChat that man with his huge carbon footprint, is causing global warming and making it worse everyday.

Your post however, is all over the place and not cogent. The actual science has long since been established, and from having read several previously, if there is any source of whose links I don't need on this forum...it's yours.

It has no sentience. It will become even more powerful...

And its effects are already starting...

among other things, I wonder if comrade bird brain, and others who call for the US government to majorly intervene in "climate change", are doing all they can personally to combat something they so passionately believe in? (ironically I think I just read somewhere comrade bird brain saying something about republicans being a sort of "do as I say not as I do" party.)

walking everywhere you go? riding a bike (wonder what harm to the climate it cost to make that?) investing in green energy? becoming vegetarian? using rechargeable batteries? less electricity? lowering the thermostat? not flying? picketing in front of coal plants (yes, democrats are for the middle class)? taking cold showers? not drinking bottled water? planting trees? buying local?

If you read more and watched fewer movies your post would not appear so ignorant. The san andraes fault marks the juncture of two tectonic plates moving past one another. In a few thousand years the plate will pass and baja california will slide north past oakand leaving me with 6000' escarpment between me and the beach.

Look up bamboo bicycle

quote:

investing in green energy?

I buy solar pannels everytime I find a bargain on them.

quote:

 becoming vegetarian?

Eating sustainable meat is not a green concept?

quote:

using rechargeable batteries?

I just bought one of those new tesla batteries

quote:

 less electricity?

I generate more than I need so why not use as much as I want?

quote:

 lowering the thermostat?

Why would I do that when I have all the free electricity I want?

quote:

 not flying?

What is wrong with electric airplanes?

http://www.e-goaeroplanes.com/

quote:

 taking cold showers?

I have all the free hot water I want why would I take a cold shower?

quote:

 not drinking bottled water?

I have a filtration that takes out everything bigger than a half micron. Why would I buy water that is not that clean.
quote:

 planting trees?

My fruit trees keep me out of the produce section of the market.

quote:

buying local?

Yup
