1. I think they must be really desperate for business to take those sort of risks.

2. No, I don't think they're very busy. They probably make a decent living off the work they're doing (way more than walmart money) but they're not getting rich off of this (nowhere near lawyer money, which charges similar prices). I'd be absolutely flabbergasted if they're booked more than 10-15 hours a week on average.

Note that at those rates, if you count a third of their income to go to overhead when doing outcalls, that means a Domme who manages to book about 10-15 hours on average is making about $1500-$3000 a week, assuming they don't pay taxes (which isn't advisable if you're going to be in business long term). That's not bad money for a part-time job by any means, but it's hardly the big striking-it-rich money either that people picture when they look at those prices.

She has nailed my views exactly.

Well,

I want Dommes to make 900 dollars for 3 hours. In fact, I wish they would make 10,000 per week clear.

We have to understand that these Ladies are not ordinary Women, they are Goddesses.

We must cherish and spoil them because there is so few of them in the world.

You do realize that to a large majority of Pro-Dommes, it's just a job, don't you?

Take my friend for instance: She's a submissive working on her Masters Degree and works as a Pro-Domme because she can fit it in with her schedule. She doesn't enjoy it, but the flexibility of her time goes a long way. The Dungeon that she works out of has a few others that aren't really Dominant, they just play one for money.

Yes, there are some lifestyle Dommes that will Pro-Domme....but your assumption that all Pro-Dommes aren't ordinary women and are Goddesses is merely your fantasy.

Hence!

What NotABull claimed is true, Pro Dommes are successful.

Please explain how you came to that conclusion.

dirtyboots -> RE: Seeking Advice (10/1/2015 3:36:30 PM)

Ok, based on the foregoing information, let us keep the number at a very low of 4000 monthly clear for Pro Domming. If the Pro Domme has a partner (lover) sharing the bills, we can conclude they make way more than those working at Walmart. I happen to know Good Pro Domme like the ones who work at the English Mansion make way more than that, but let us keep it at 4000 for the rest, it amounts to around 50,000 yearly. Now that is pretty good for 15 hours of work, hence SUCCESS compared to Walmart, MacDonalds, Sears and bla bla bla staff.

Furthermore, even if a Lady is submissive, she still plays the Dominant Role when she enters the dungeon and that for me is enough to Label them All Goddesses, the best damn Ladies in the entire world and everyone should kneel to kiss their Holy Feet and empty their entire bank accounts for them.

Which would put her in the lower middle class, which I wouldn't classify as successful. The cost of living in SoCal, means that $50,000 is not a cush life.

Compared to minimum wage jobs, it's obviously much better paying, but I still wouldn't put it in the income level for "Successful". That's like saying that someone is pretty because her friends are ugly.

I just finished watching the movie THE INTERN with Robert De Niro.

In this movie a very successful Woman is having problems with her hubby because she is successful. It made me wonder.

Do Pro Dommes have permanent lovers?

No.

And if they do, is it difficult to juggle such a relationship?

Incredibly.

I mean does hubby get jealous to the point of going into tantrums?

Beyond measure.

(Any other questions?)

That's a decent living.

It's not an income you're going to get rich off... which is what I've been saying all along.

It's also lot less than my current yearly income, although I have enough free time that all the talking about the subject is making me consider putting a feeler out to see if there's a market in this area for a couple hours here and there. Most of my overhead is covered anyways, because I still a large kink wardrobe and almost all of my more portable toys from back in. I suspect the average income in my area isn't high enough to cover my fees though.

notaBULL -> RE: Seeking Advice (10/1/2015 7:10:38 PM)

I agree with DirtyBoots

"Everyone should kneel to kiss their Holy Feet and empty their entire bank accounts for them."

When a Lady takes the role of the Dominant in the dungeon or in any scene, she is a GODDESS.

Now Basketball players make millions just to throw a stupid ball in a basket, so I figure our Dommes should be even more wealthy than that.

Seeing that I'm so obviously entitled to being spoiled, you are now permitted to commence spoiling me: http://amzn.com/w/3DTYOGAYTI079

It appears this thread is off topic, No?

OsideGirl -> RE: Seeking Advice (10/1/2015 8:22:17 PM)

Nice sock. And thread drift has always been considered as a normal thing in this forum.

Lucylastic -> RE: Seeking Advice (10/1/2015 8:36:27 PM)

Yup and strippers really are your girlfriend.

If you truly view a woman that views you as nothing more than something she has to do to pay her bills as a Goddess, then I suggest you see a therapist.

I am sorry, I am new to your terms, I do not know what (sock) means. But this thread is still off topic and I do not see many Dommes offering the kind of advice NotaBull was looking for.

Shaking fingers and scolding is also off topic. If you have a problem, do not compound it. Report it. Moderation staff will take it from there. That's for the folks who are in the rafters..I have no doubt that socks are well aware of how the stuff works.

^^^ This ^^^

So.... if she is very butch, has a shoebrush haircut, built like the proverbial brick outhouse and looks like the back of a bus - that is a goddess just because she plays the role of a Domme???
Jeeeez.... where do these men get off??? [8|]
I must be eating the wrong Cherios or something.
To me, 'Goddess' means she is attractive - both physically and from inside.
Anything less just makes her the person in charge, not a goddess.

Who the hell are you to knock the soc.. Um.. the guys Hephaestus fetish! Ugly Goddesses need to pay rent, too!

UllrsIshtar -> RE: Seeking Advice (10/2/2015 11:15:02 AM)

You know, growing up with a name like Ishtar (my actually name... not a nick). I've had people teasingly call me "Goddess" since I was 5. Never suspected back then that it'd be kinky one day.
Kinda bizarre to have somebody say it and mean actual deification, instead of calling me a proverbial princess because I'm being a brat.

CREAMPIEincome -> RE: Seeking Advice (10/2/2015 11:22:18 AM)

I am not going to report anything, but I would like to see more Dommes get involved in this discussion, I think NotaBull deserved an answer, hitherto, only Ishtar has given her views on this. The initial question came from a movie called the INTERN if I understood his thread, so yes it would be good to know if successful Ladies are having problems with their hubbies.

mnottertail -> RE: Seeking Advice (10/2/2015 11:29:30 AM)

You ever heard of a bell curve? The answer would then be, of course it happens. Is it epidemic? Not according to the bell curve.

He got his answer from more than Ishtarr.

Now, this is not a very interesting discussion, and not a mult-faceted complex notion at all. There is only so much that can be said on such a dreary bit of fuzz. It has been said, and now its other things.
