Bad things can happen even in "safe" neighborhoods. One of our posters cherishes the wet dream that more school shootings (good grief!) will finally cause Americans to "wake up" and demand more gun control. But the reality is that as more people are confronted with the possibility of this kind of thing happening to them, their neighbors or their loved ones, the more they're inclined to defend gun rights. And it's not a phenomenon that's limited to just "gun crazy" America.

Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat is urging all licensed residents of his city to carry their guns with them at all times. That recommendation stands in stark contrast to the gun control movements and policies prevalent in Europe and the United States. But Barkat knows the value of law-abiding, gun-toting civilians, especially during a time of such troubles...
