To the OP, in my experience a 'good' profile doesn't do a whole lot for you, especially if you are looking for a Domme. You'll get a lot of differing opinions regarding profiles. Too long, too short, too personal, too impersonal, etc. so your best bet is to try and be concise and, of course, be yourself. Even a good profile won't get you much attention because most Dommes don't browse profiles anyway so IMO, you're better off putting your efforts into a good introductory letter since you'll likely be the one initiating contact. Just make sure to go through their profile carefully before sending out your introduction (I've made the mistake of being too anxious and not doing this a couple of times). I do agree about the spelling so be careful of that both in your profile and initial/subsequent contacts.

Anyway, for what it's worth. Just the experience of a fellow sub.

True, but before we read the letter, *some* of us check out the profile of who is sent it first.

That seems like a good idea. I think a person's posts in the forum can really help illuminate things about themselves that their profile doesn't mention or only hints at.

Id like to know more about you as a person, your hobbies, likes and dislikes, what you do with your free time, what you do for a living. I would never consider a slave that didnt have some of the same outside interests as I do, otherwise, who would I do them with?

To the OP...I think a well written introductory letter can overcome most shortcomings in a profile. Your profile might be read through posting but all in all, I think you'll get more milage out of a strong introductory letter. Take it from someone that had about a 'one-pager' profile up for a long while. Besides, I believe your introductory letter is, generally, viewed as a bit more personal (personalized) rather than something that's out there for all to see. Just don't forget to spellcheck and read the receivers profile carefully.
