I've been tying the strong version of the knot. In fact I'm on a BDSM site. I know how to tie many different types of knots. I did not take offense to the guy suggesting or even out-right accusing me of tying an incorrect knot. I simply listen and gave it some thought. If I lived in that town, I would have as much right to my freedom of speech as anyone else. Since I dont live in the state they can ignore things as they like. After that first major lawsuit drains their funding for education, road work, and even essential services; they'll 'wake up and smell the coffee' of what it means to be a professional law enforcement official in 2015 (soon to be 2016). This moron and the sheriff you mention have much support among conservative people. But then, conservative people are more and more within the 'Low Information Voter' group; so they shouldn't be high-five-ing each other just yet! That other sheriff is currently involve in two dozen lawsuits that could unravel everything he has been doing, should things go against him. Are the people of Arizona 'OK' with seeing their taxes rise to pay damages to thousands of people because of this idiot? Only time will tell!

Yes, Florida can be a nice place to live. Depending on which area of Florida! Then again, Massachusetts is a nice place to live. Depends on where in Massachusetts. People retire to warmer climates has more to do with biology then their wallet!

Because that's what the United States handles. Each states, depending on circumstances are given money from the federal government. The manner in which the federal government dools out dollars is based more on a socialistic standard then one based on capitalism. If we went under a capitalism standard, the midwest and south would receive almost nothing. Not to mention most of the red states! New England, California, Texas, Florida, and even those states within 200 miles of Washinton D.C., would be netting the bulk of federal dollars. The states not recieving funds, would slowly because dust bowls of nothing. People would move out of those states, thus, netting fewer dollars in the future.
Yes, its a reality no Republican or Tea Party political operative likes to admit: red states need socialism to survive. One they try to keep away from their voters, because truth and fact shows their bullshit for what it is....

The founding fathers had many good ideas, and a few bad ones. They were limited to their thoughts, technology, and culture the same as we are today. If modern media existed in the late 18th century, would the people be as 'joined' as the history books try to make things out? Or show some real divisions? There are people in 2015/2016 whom are good thinkers. Very intelligent, skilled, and studied. But no one can trust anyone with power. An that is why the nation is slowly slipping downward. We pay the penalty for distrust. We can 'thank' conservatives for developing this distrust from merely 'distrust the government which is health' to paranoid schizophrenia!
For the record, President Obama in seven years has not taken our guns away. Nor the bibles. Nor enslaved us all. Gas prices are not $8.35 (for month of November of 2015). Hate to break it to you: Just because your old does not mean you stop being liberal. There are plenty of old people that are very liberal. They have seen the ages. They have watched as people suffered and the government did not step in to help out. They watched as selfish assholes (like those making up the majority of the GOP/TP right now) further undermine government's ability to help those most vulnerable and helpless. They past that experience and knowledge to the younger generations very frequently. In fact, being liberal means to be more studied and learned of many subjects; not just politics.
Its a 'knee jerk' reaction to tell some homeless person "get a job!". It shows that person has never stopped and considered that person's challenges. Maybe the guy has problems holding a job? Maybe he is mentally and/or emotional unable to hold a job. Maybe circumstances are so unusual, that person can not have a job. There are intelligent and educated people that are homeless right now. Some of them really do have problems holding a steady job.
A REAL christian would be advocating more federal dollars be spent helping the homeless, the sick, the poor, the vulnerable. Yet, so many in the GOP/TP take steps to attack these very individuals. All the why decreasing the funding meant to help these people in critical moments of their lives. How 'christian' is that? Its like they never heard of the Book of Matthew. Specifically Chapter 25, verses 31-46. Next time you watch those 'christian' people running for the nomination, ask yourself, how many would increase taxes, SOLELY, to combat homelessness in the nation?

The single thing that is destroying this nation is IGNORANCE! What made this nation powerful, great, and noble, was because the 'powers that be' wanted this nation's people to be educated. Educated people can accomplish more things, with better efficiency, and less cost; then those whom are ignorant. It helped us overcome the evil doers of the second world war. Enabled us to advance mankind in technology in every field. People would send their children from other nations to ours, just to learn in our schools, colleges, and universities. When people were educated, they made sure to follow government like hawks. They understood how Congress operates. And the Money Market Apparatus. Many could rattle off 'their rights' with specifics.
In 2015 and for the 20-25 years before that, this nation has been gaining more ignorance rather then less. In the one moment in which mankind has the most technology at their finger tips, Americans are dumber than in the 19th century! At one time, we Americans demanded our politicians define how they would over come problems. Now we want to know which one says pretty words that are music to our political ears. Through ignorance, other nations have started pulling ahead of our own. They make technical advances that should have happened in the nation.
For example: Stem Cell Technology. The ignorant masses believed that stem cells could be used to grow humans in a lab. Something that stem cells just could not accomplish (biologically speaking). Yet, the technology held remarkable potential. This nation effectively ban anyone from doing intensive research. So other nations performed the research, and gained the fame for the discoveries.
Clean/Green Energy is at its start. Yet due to ignorance of Americans, other nations are pulling ahead with technology and equipment (reducing the problems of wasteful energy). Because a chunk of ignorant Americans didn't like President Obama, they did all in their power to stop solar, wind, and hydro power from being researched and used. So now other nations are making advances that we should have been making.
The founding fathers were a bunch of liberal thinking people. Conservatives would have sided with the King! That's because many of the actions the founding fathers would take, dealt with the concept of freedom rather than 'lets not rock the boat'. The Boston Tea Party was about a bunch of people that wanted the King of England to take the 13 colonies MORE in taxes rather than less. Because if they were taxed more, they could rightfully demand more troops to protect them. Funny how every Tea Partier of 2015 gets this historical fact incorrect. The original Republican Party was pretty damn liberal. The Republican Party of today looks and feels more like Nazis than a liberal band of free thinkers!
