Shooter bought the gun legally. Went to Saudi Arabia for one month. Came back with a Beard. Co-Workers say his a devout Muslim. Also newly married and brought his wife to the US.

Pipe Bombs were found.

So far, these are all the findings.

Ha! I call this definitely a self-radicalized individual.

What happens is, they interpret Islam on through their own research and readings, and this is usually their conclusion. They go Mecca to feel close to their God and get blessings for their mission that they think they are suppose to do.

I think in my country, my government is tapping people's internet patterns, because they have arrested many of such individuals, like in the airport before they leave the country to some Muslim country for either training or whatever. I reckon they are "marked" individuals, so if airport staff checks their travel ticket and see them traveling to a Muslim country with possible terrorism links, they are prevented from leaving and arrested.

And they go through a program where they are re-taught the peaceful interpretation of Islam, before they are released again. Their release is dependent on psychological evaluation IF they have truly see the error of their interpretation.

What a dumbass statement...everyone knows that guns are a row crop much like peanuts with each bush throwing out runners that reenter the ground to mature.
The illegal aliens who harvest these guns have to be careful because the guns grow with bullets in them.Get a phoquing clue.

Or the president ships them to Mexico so when they are used to kill people he can track them.

I actually don't believe the Saudis are responsible, but more of literal interpretation at work, and then simply going Mecca to seek affirmation for what he believes his holy mission in life is.

Greta... if they could make and use bombs NOW they will and have....Taking away guns will not change that in any way. Taking away these types of guns will not stop mass killings but it will make them more difficult for terrorist and most certainly for the insane.

They will not affect the terrorist. If it would then Paris wouldn't have happened now would it? And the problem with the insane getting guns is that so many states refuse to enter that information in the data base. You can fix this by making it MANDITORY to enter it. And this wouldn't trample on anyones rights.

First... your scenario very seldom happens ... second...so you believe that a robber deserves a bullet to the head? Is your twenty dollars and a credit card worth a human life? I have no love of thieves either but I am raised better than to kill over things.

Yesterday here in St. Louis two young black boys saw a car left unlocked with articles on the seat. They opened the door and reached in and one was shot in the back and killed... Yes they were thieves...but was not their life worth more?
