First they got the balls to ban burkas.

And now they got the balls to shut down Mosques!

For a socialist-ish country, they got balls and are serious about protecting their people and their country!

Very impressed!

Like I probably cannot imagine Bernie Sanders implementing actions like this. He would be too focus on global warming as his priority to bother with rooting out Terrorism.

I have always said, it all starts in the Mosque. Talking to some of my Muslim friends what's taught in there to them from kids, is scary. Anyway, in my country, and my neighbouring country, being Muslim is not a choice if you were born to Muslim parents. So I have Muslim friends who doesn't want to be Muslims but are forced to be Muslims against their will and are forced to attend Mosque by their community peers and parents. So they are totally "Muslims" who do not really like many aspects of their own religion but socially pressurized by their community into it and to be identified by one. That's why we can become friends ha. I don't think I can ever be friends with someone who genuinely believe in Islamic teachings and follows it.

yup, nothing wrong with demonizing a whole religion for the acts of a small minority.

You do remember that Hitler ordered the closing of synagogues?

If I were a terrorist, the mosque is my safest place to spread my message, as it's usually the religious haven that authorities don't touch.

Takes big balls to mess with Mosques.

They aren't closing all Mosque. They are only closing down the ones who are teaching terrorism to their followers. As we know with all religious organizations, even churches, they all choose selective teachings.

So it's something I've been saying for a damn long time since 9/11. All countries should be tapping Mosques.

Glad to see France implementing my suggestion!

Ah Stef, I realise that everytime you bother posting in the forum, regardless who you reply to, you are only interested in insulting people. Why are you so unhappy?

I'm only unhappy when stupid people post stupid things. Sadly, we seem to be inundated with them here.

Yes but why don't you also go say positive things to people who post nice things that you enjoyed? Why are you only so focus on posting negative comments?
I'm just saying, I'm okay if you insult me because you didn't like what I said, but it would be nice to see you be able to post nice things to people whom you like what they say too for balance.

Greta, you should leave it alone. You don't know ~stef at all. If you did, you wouldn't make such an assumption.

There was a recent frontline on PBS where a reporter and camera man were allowed to go to a terrorist controlled area of Afganistan. There they went to a Mosque where they met two young boys 14 and 17 I believe...that were training to be suicide bombers. They were also shown young children being taught to shoot weapons at American targets... Yes these types of so called houses of God need to be eradicated.

Don't get me wrong... if i had a say the Westboro Church would be forcibly closed...not saying it is right to do so...just that i would do it.

Since you don't believe in God wouldn't shuting down Mosques be a good start?
You could then use that as a precedent to shut down all religions.
Which is the problem with this, barring proof that a particular Mosque is teaching terror.
The Klan couldn't use churches as a shield why should Jihadists?

Dude!!!!Did you read the cite? The three mosques(not all mosques) were closed for cause. All of the synagogues were closed because they were jewish. I know you can tell the difference.

Every time Westboro does something they open everyone who remotely agrees with them up to ridicule by association. They harm all of their causes more than help them. Now if they started killing people that would be different. As it is they are pathetic clowns.

I'd close any christian church who teaches terrorism too! I mean there is alot of source in the old testament to be drawn from. But it does seems that most christians choose to ignore the old testament and just follow Jesus. Generally, Jesus didn't kill people. So it's kinda like a safer prophet to follow than Muhammad who have advocated killing those who did not bend to his beliefs.

Now Jesus exists in the freaking Quran as Prophet spreading Allah's words too, I don't know why no Muslims want to follow him and choose to do Muhammad instead. I mean sure he is the last and final prophet, seem to be the most updated prophet I guess. But since all of them prophets are spreading the same God's word. They should've chosen Jesus instead. Another minus points to Muslims for making a damn bad decision in role model of choice.

Joeseph Smith wrote the Book of Morman in the early 1800's as the lastest book of prophesy.

Greta, I read your posts because sometimes they are food-for-thought and sometimes I get a chuckle but understand that socialism is an economic system and there have attempts at socialist fascism where the fascism came first. Yes, even socialist-ish countries too. History's fascist dictators would round up the Muslim crowd and 'find-a-solution.' Ring a bell ?

Those in the know, knew for example, that after the 'Jewish problem' for Hitler, came what would be the Muslim problem, as they are also Semites and were next. He just didn't get the chance and he wanted their oil.

An Sanders wouldn't seek such closings because of its indiscriminate nature as has been described already above.

Why would you make the mind-numbingly stupid assumption that because I don't believe in God that I think religions should be "shut down"?
